Arrival Story:
Meoki was rescued from a neglect situation. Her old guardians didn't take care of her. She is a fully grown Himalayan, over a year old, and she weighed just over 4 pounds. She had gigantic mats that looked like wings sprouting from both sides of her body. The rest of her fur was clumped, greasy and bloody. The guardian was persuaded by a Persian Rescue Organization to surrender her. She was shaved and bathed. I saw her profile on the Persian's Website, and became enamored by the furry face with the tongue out and AMAZINGLY crooked teeth caught my eye. I went to meet her, and she didn't warm up right away. But, I knew it was right! I took her home, and within 5 hours or so we were fast friends! Now, we cuddle, do therapy work, and spend a lot of time together. She's a sweety!
