...is my two front teeth!
Jeepers, this business of getting old is getting old!
Almost 2 years ago, the vet took most of the teeth I had left. I still have my bottom fangs and incisors, but she took my top fangs and the other teeth on top except for two incisors. That was it -- two little incisors were the only teeth I had left on the top!
Now those are gone, too! A few months ago when I was at the vet for a check-up, Mom had the vet check my mouth because she thought something looked strange about those two incisors. Something was strange, alright. One incisor was missing. Gone! The one that was left was very loose, too.
The vet thought the remaining incisor was so loose that he could give me some pain medication and pull it -- no anesthesia. The tooth wasn't bothering me, though, and Mom didn't like the idea of my tooth being pulled that way. It didn't seem to warrant me having anesthesia so it could be pulled, either, especially since I have kidney disease.
So they left my tooth alone, hoping it would fall out easily on its own, and Mom was to continue watching me to make sure it wasn't bothering me. She kept bugging me, looking in my mouth. The tooth kept hanging in there! MOL!
I've been picky about my food the last few days, so Mom checked my mouth again yesterday. I really don't like her doing that!
This time, that tooth was gone … missing… nowhere to be found.
Where'd my tooth go? I need it for the Tooth Fairy!
Dang, where are your toofies? I wonder if you swallowed them? You might have to get in on Ashlynne's toofies and get some of her Toof Fairy money the next time she loses one!
Did Santa Paws take it?
Awww - you poor thing Beepers! I sure hope you start eating better. May all your wishes come true:)
Newman, I don't remember swallowing it. I hope not!
You could be right, Lacey. Maybe Santa Paws took it when I sat on his lap a couple weeks ago!
I ate a good breakfast this morning, Benson. But I have lost some weight, so Mom says I'll be going to the vet soon. I'm almost due for my 6-month checkup anyway. Those checkups sure do come around often!
You poor kitty!
Too bad they don't make dentures fur kitties, like they do fur peeps...
Hope your mouth feels OK, though.
Christmas Cheers to you and your furmily, Beepers!
Thanks, WeBees! My mouth is okay now. I was just biting the Christmas tree a few minutes ago! MOL!
Merry Christmas to you, too. Keep warm!
Oh gosh no. I think you'll need some nice, soft canned food for your Christmas dinner, Beepers. Yup, you go and ask your Mom for that. I hope Santa Paws will bring you two new front teeth. Merry Christmas.
Thanks Mietzi! I usually ask Mom for food several times a day. :) Merry Christmas to you, too!
Oh my. Gummy nibbles would do just fine. Oh my yes.
I'd be happy to give you your checkup Big Daddy.
Oh boy! Wonder what happened to that toofa? I bet Tooth Fairies still bring gifts to missing teeth. Santa Paws may have put in an extra special request for you! Merry Christmas to you and your family and a very wonderful 2014!
Hugs and purrs,
Simon & Reuben(an angel)
I hope you get lots of mushy treats for giving up your last teeth.
Are you okay, Pansy? *fans Pansy*
Thanks, Simon! I hope you're right about the Tooth Fairy!
Thanks, Mazie! Good idea - that sounds dee-lish!
Merry Christmas!! I hope Santa's good to all of you!
Oh my Beepers, where did that toofie go....so far, I've only lost one of my fangs...hope my others last. I'm sure the fang fairy will visit yet and bring you pawsome goodies!
Christmas Day Purrs from Mister Micky
Mr. Micky, I sure hope you don't lose anymore teeth. I hope I don't lose anymore, either! MOL!
I hope everyone had a good Christmas!
Concats on the DDP Beepers, and Merry Christmas too! If Pansy still hasn't come around, just wave some smelling salts or--better yet--some Wellness Chicken & Herring under her nose. Just don't gaze into her eyes with your gorgeous amber ones, or she'll be out cold again . . .
*giggles at the thought of Beepers making Pansy pass out*
