Arrival Story:
Our neighbor brought the cat over and asked if we would take it. She said she was on her way to the shelter and thought she'd stop and ask us first. My mom had a cat like him when she was little so she took boots right away and brought him straight to her room. One night a few months later mom was marching down the stairs with Boots it seems Boots decided to mark her as his territory even after we had him fixed. Boots became an outdoor cat. He would spray us if we walked to close to him, I can't tell you how many times we would be on our way out and have to go back in and change! He was such a mush you had to love him. We had the vet look at him to see if there was a physical reason he sprayed only the ones he held dear and the vet did not have any answer other than perhaps he is territorial.

Bio:
Boots was always into mischief. He once had the fire dept. here to get him out of a tree, he even made the local paper. He would make the 2 block journey to his old home every day and visit his other mom. He was run over by the landscapers and broke his jaw in 4 places He made it through with flying colors! He was always into mischief and we thought for sure it was going to get him killed in the end it was his body just gave out. I do not know how old he was when we got him the vet felt natural causes was the reason he could not get up.

How Cheri came to live with us

Mom always loved the Fancy Feast cat. It reminded her of her other cat when she was a child. I went to all the shelters until I found a long haired cat.
I brought her home put a large bow on her and a crystal dessert dish with a Fancy Feast can in it. Mom fell in love with her. Cheri remained moms companion and lived with her in moms room. She was a clean and neat cat who loved only mom. When mom passed away I beought home Smokey as a companion to Cheri. When Cheri passes some years later Vanilla came to be a companion to Smokey when I am not there.
