Arrival Story: I worked temporarily at a pet store and this litter of kittens was brought in, they seemed small even though the owner said they were 7 weeks. On Good Friday I came in and he could not stay standing, was very sick looking. I rushed him to the vet and held the oxygen mask on him while they tried to get an IV in him. His heart stopped anyway. Very sad I went back to work and explained what happened. Just before closing the vet had called and said as soon as I left his heart started again but had stopped and started twice more throughout the day. She was taking him home for the night. Having no kids and it being Easter weekend I took him home the next night and continued carrying him with me the following week, giving him medicine and syring feeding until he would eat on his own. After he was healthy the owner asked if I wanted to keep him since he looked at me as his mommy now and I agreed. We also did not know if he would have problems given his heart stopping. He has been a joy to have ever since and is very lovable. I named him JC which stands for Jesus the Cat because he kept coming back to life on Good Friday. Nothing against Jesus, it just seemed to fit.
