Besides eating ... I need good brushings everyday. I do it car wash style--by walking through the brushes--but I need more than the usual single pass so I go back and forth and back and forth. I also love to knead before bed ... keeps me trim, you know

When I first moved in I made my Pawpa nervous waving my paw at him but after he got brave and realized I am extremely gentle with my claws--he's not scared of me anymore! ...

Arrival Story:
Chose Larry from the Fairmont Animal Shelter here in San Leandro, CA. There were many kits and kats that I wanted to give a home to but Larry presented the most purrrsuasive argument! I visited all of the meowers three times before choosing Larry. When I first attempted to put him in the carrier he broke free, but I didn't have much trouble picking him up -- he just didn't want to be in the cramped little carrier. But we made it home.
Bio:
After coming home, I soon realized his meow is very soft--its sort of half purr, half meow. But he makes up for his lack of volume with persistence. When Larry is hungry he can go on and on to help you realize that HE is hungrier than YOU. But he has quickly become comfortable with his new home. Does not fear the vacuum--he sat only 6 feet away from the noisy thing waiting to get my attention at lunch time!

Larrycat passed away in April of 2010. He was probably hit by a car on a traffic busy day of church going. When found, he had no obvious injury. He was probably spooked, darted into the street and struck by a car. I miss him and think of him frequently.
