My BAD

Jeepers, I did not realize how long it's been since I've been to Catster. Bad mama! Lots of things have been happening here. Daddy was working on the campster trailer, mama was working, and then we celebrated the fourth of July. Mama and daddy had fireworks and ate steaks out on the deck. Peekie and I did not get to go out because mama and daddy said they did not have time to watch us. BOO!!!!! We had to watch the festivities from our bay window. The good new is neither the Peekster nor I are afraid of fireworks. We get really big booms out here in the country, so mama said it was a good test.

Right after the fourth of July I got sick. I started throwing up and didn't want to eat. I wouldn't tell mama and daddy, but I couldn't go potty. It was too embarrassing, so I kept pretending I was OK.

When we went for our test drive in daddy's big noisy truck, daddy was drivering along, and we were all enjoying the scenery. All of a sudden I let out a yowl that almost made daddy drive off the road. Mama didn't want to scare daddy while we were on our little road trip, but when we got home, mama told daddy she thought my yowlering sounded like a pain yowl, not a complainy yowl because I never yowl when we are drivering.

The next morning I had to spend a few hours at the hospital. It is too embarrassing to say what they did to me, but I felt better when I got home. Mama and Peekie were both so glad to see me, that is until mama caught me scooting my butt on the carpet in the hall. Out came the Spot Bot right after I got my first butt wash. Mama had some nice kitty shampoo she got for my older sister, Missy Mups. It is very soothing on kitty skin.

I didn't know what mama was up to because I've never had my butt washed before. Before I knew it, mama was wetting my butt and tail. Then she started shampooing me. I protested but not too loud because I didn't like my butt the way it was any more than mama did.

When my mini-bath was finished, mama tried to towel dry my tail and butt, but I wanted down, so she let me go after a few feeble efforts at dryering me. I stalked off with as much dignity as I could muster (not much) and started drying my own fur. The good news is once I was dry, I liked the results of my bath. My butt wasn't stinky or greasy anymore. My fur was beautiful and fluffy again, and I smelled nice. I still don't trust that Spot Bot, though.

Now mama is getting the campster ready for our trip. The Peekster and I hope we can check in and do some diary entries using the laptop.

Mama practiced folding our stroller up today. The lady in the video can do it with one hand, but mama's version is much more entertaining. Peekie and I tried to give mama heart failure by running around and under the stroller while she was trying to fold it up and then put it back up. We did not quite achieve our goal, but we came close. Maybe that is a good thing; who would feed us?

Thanks to our friends who gave us gifts for the fourth of July. We know we will be late, but we hope mama can get p-mail thank-you's out before we leave on our vacation. We are sorry we didn't get to scamper around Catster to give out more American flags for the fourth of July. At least we did not run out of zealies just when we needed them most!
