Arrival Story:
I was looking to adopt another Cornish Rex, however, the rescue I adopted Mau through did not want me to bring another Cat into the mix since they believed she would never be ok with another cat in the house...all of this despite what my vet, books, and breeders said. So, I sought out a credentialed breeder and was given the choice between Preston and his brother Parker. It was a very hard choice, but ultimately Preston's black 'stache did it.

Bio:
We brought Preston home at the tender age of 10 mos. Despite what most people think of credentialed breeders, we received all of his health records, already neutered, and his CFA registration, as well as his top-notch pedigree. We would have loved to have adopted, but were not able to (not by our doing). We highly recommend his breeder Paula with Rex'n'Ready Cornish Rexs. They have planned, few litters each year and breed only the highest quality of cats. She is personable and educated and we do not regret our decision of choosing her! We will be showing him when his coat fully grows in.

Mom entered me in a contest today! It's for the Spay Day 2010 and I'm helping to raise money for the Arizona Animal Defense League for their spay day. Please help me and donate/vote! There's a button on my page that will navigate you there. I just wanna help pets in my community to get spayed and cut down the number of homeless kitties and puppies like my Sissy Mau was. Thank you guys and bless you all!

What's Moobing?

So, this week has been kind of busy with a splash of change. Mom's gone back to school, and I like her schedule a lot better than last semester. She has school every day except Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. That means she isn't gone for a whole day at a time when she is in school because she spread her classes out--hooray! Then there's the weight and cage issue. I have adjusted quite well to having my own kingdom that only I get to rule, and if my Sissy even THINKS about comin' in, I pounce (when the cage door is open of course)! And, my tummy has shrunk and Mommy is pretty happy about that.

Now to the subject at hand! What is Moobing!? Mom said we gots the house and that we are moobing! Daddy is going first and then after the wedding we are too. Mommy says we have a yard, what's that? And an Arizona room with big picture windows facing a garden of flowers...interesting. Mom says that she's gonna get me a bigger tall cage and Mau gets the smaller one for when she's not home. I suppose it's because this place is waaay bigger, 1650 sq. feet, versus the 850 sq. ft. that is our home now. I'm digging on the fact that Mommy said it's mostly tile! Do you all know what that means? I can roll my balls all over the house and slip and slide em where ever I want to! Woo hoo!!!! Maybe someone can describe the moobing thing to me. Is it like when we moobed to this place? I didn't like that too much cause we had to ride in the Sherpa bags for a long time in the car. ...Advice?

So, Mom has officially put me on a diet. I don't understand! I just have a cute belly and and more of me to love! The dog and Mau get to eat whenever they want...this is SO not fair. To top it off, I spend my entire day in the cage. :( Mom gives me my rationed meals in there and only lets me out at night. She knows where I will run to first, so she puts Mau's food up where I can't get it. However, she thought she was sneaky by putting a large dish face down on top of the dog's food...there is just enough room that I can stick my paw in there and scoop piece by piece of delicious glory! MOL! I fear she may have figured this out and will be doing something about it soon. I know I make the cage out to sound pretty horrible..I mean, I have all of the amenities...a nice carpeted floor, fresh water, a clean litter box, a comfy hammock, some toys, and even a shelf to hang out on. I just wanna go, go, go all the time though! I will not be oppressed! I say, let my people go! MOL! I just want some food!!!! Mom says I'm going to be in a show in March and that I need to slim down. Well I'll tell ya buddies, I lived the life of a show cat in training at my breeder's house...I've tasted the promise land and no one is sending me back! Although, it does make me realize how much I take for granted...like sleeping with Momma and playing with the rat dog. ...Can I has some foods now Mom?

....
Starvingly yours,

Preston
