Arrival Story:
I grew up with an orange tabby Cornish Rex named Rexy. Over the last few years, I had been on lists and forums looking for one to adopt. This last Summer someone on one of the forums messaged me with a link to Petfinder.com and several adoptable Cornishes in my area.
After several emails back and forth with a representative from Finding Fido rescue, we decided to do a trial home and "foster" her for 2 weeks. Once she arrived from Tucson, I drove over to the temporary foster parent's house to meet her, along with my 4 1/2 year old IG Patrick. After some paperwork, she was on her way home with me (mewing very loudly). Over the course of the 2 weeks, she found her place in our home and has been seated on her princess throne ever since.
Bio:
I am a very beautiful Calico Cornish Rex. I'm not really sure how old I am, but the rescue told my Mom that I am between 3 and 4 years old. They say it's a pretty accurate age since I have been in and out of their rescue for 3 years. My last home (before now) only lasted me 6 months and I was very sad that the lady lied about how often she was home. I got sent back to rescue minus my back claws even though the lady was supposed to accept me as only having those ones since my previous owner before her removed my front ones. I'm very sensitive about my feet now. She said I got her evicted from her apartment because I was too noisy...I just got really lonely from being home by myself all the time. ): Now that my Mommy and Daddy found me, I know that I will have a permanent home with them! I have a dog brother named Patrick who makes a better bed than anything and a fellow Cornish Rex brother named Preston...I hated him at first, but he's slowly growing on me.
