Arrival Story:
Patch's Mother was a stray. She was severly pregnant in July of 1994. It was a 106 degree day and she was over barren with child - Belly dragging on the ground. We brought Patch's Mom who we affectionately named Mittens into our house coaxing her with some meat. We brought her to the cool basement and that night she gave birth to 5 kittens. We were so excited that we were going to play with kittens in the morning. When we awoke we found 6 kittens. She had given birth to another little gray female. Yay! Six kittens. There was a Pure White Long Haired Male Kitten, two black and white kittens -one male one Female, One Tiger Striped Male, One Calico Female, and one Female Grey Kitten which looked like a Racoon! Yeah, Mittens got around. We had all of those Male cats to match roaming the neighborhood at the time -MOL! All 4 of us girls wanted a different kitten. I wanted the pure white one, Holly wanted Patch because of her perfect square box on her head, Lisa wanted Meeko the gray kitten, and Julie wanted Tiger. Patch ended up being the keeper...I don't know why. Many of the other kittens had better personalities...I guess looks won over personality because she was the most original of the bunch!

Update on my life

Since I live at Kathleen's parent's house she doesn't get to update my information as much.
Cannot tell what I am up too if I live in a different house.

Well, just wanted to tell you that since Princess and Bandit Passed away a couple years ago I have been given run of the house again.

That hasn't helped me get my girlish figure back at all. I am still raccoon shaped and haven't lost any pounds but I am still healthy. I am still skittish when people come by to visit. Since my human sister doesn't visit as much as before I forget she is family sometimes and run away from her when she comes to pet me or pick me up.

I never was her favorite. We've always had our issues.
Like when she was in her early teens and tried to give me a bath and I climbed up to the top of her head and dug my claws into it and wouldn't move. She was screaming and the bathroom door was locked so my parents had to get the key open the door and remove me from her head...oh, yes, we've got a past and some stories but I hope by now she's forgiven me for that.

My human sister doesn't have to baby sit the GSD she found anymore. The owners came to pick her up Sunday night! Her real name is Cookie that's why she answered to Heidi - The "Y" sound is very pronounced in both. Her Mate Fonzi is still missing. So anyone in Chicagoland if you come accross a black and red male GSD let us know.
