Time with Chloe

Cuddling

Chloe always seems to amaze me. Last night she slept in bed with me, only she took up almost the entire bed. She is a very small cat and kept curling into my side, I like to roll when I sleep so I kept rolling backwards until I was against the wall and Chloe had the entire queen size bed to herself.
Now as I sit here and type this she is sitting on the armrest of the loveseat. Every so often I reach over and scratch her, she will occasionally look at me and I realize how special I am to have her love, even if I have to share my bed.

Sitting on the Couch together

Chloe has been ignoring me. Complete ignorance of me and whatever I am doing. If I am upstairs she is downstairs, if my housemate is home Chloe sits with her. I do not know what I did to make her so upset other than work so much that I worked 72 hours in 5 days.
But right now, she has finally come to me. She jumped up on the couch as I looked on websites for the perfect dress for my brother's wedding. Now she is fast asleep curled up against my side. It is time for me to go to bed, but I don't want to disturb her. Oh well, it is time for both of us to be asleep so away we go. Night all.

Knowing You Are Loved

While cleaning off our cars for the 5th time on Wednesday I was so excited to be able to go home. I shared with a coworker that my cat gets upset with me every time I am not at home. His response was that you know you have a good cat when they get upset with you for not being at home. Later that night, after driving 40 minutes to go only 4 miles and getting stick in my apartment's parking lot, I just wanted to be warm and dry and in my room. Chloe must have sensed that I needed warmth because she crawled into my lap and just purred and stayed there until I moved to fall asleep.
Again I am amazed at the love animals have for us, especially cats. My experience with cats before Chloe was limited. The cats we had as children were outdoor and rarely spent time with us. My sister's cat Snow did not like me and would sit on my face, causing me to wake up because I couldn't breathe. My housemate's cat, Clancy, likes to attack me and when I am in his space he bites my feet, ankles, toes and sometimes leg, whatever he can get ahold of first. Yet to my housemate he cuddles and nuzzles her. Maybe like people cats just have that one person who belongs to them. After all Chloe treats my housemate the way Clancy treats me.
