Arrival Story:
Ringo was an 8 month old feral cat who I had been feeding. I noticed he was sick one night so I told him I was going to pick him up, put him in the carrier and bring him to my house to see what was going on with him (he had a URI). Darned if that cat didn't fuss at all - he let me pick him up, he laid right down in the carrier and when I let him out of the carrier into the half bath, he walked right over to the food dish, ate and then laid down in the kitty bed I provided for him. And he has been with me since. Ringo knew right away this was a much better life than outdoors. So there was virtually no adjustment period. He went right from being a feral to being a house cat. It is still amazing to me because anyone who takes care of feral cats will tell you this is unheard of.
