Arrival Story:
We first saw Merlin walking around outside our front door over a year ago - he had a collar on and when we said "hello there" he came right up to us and rolled over on his back and let us pet him and rub his belly, obviously a very friendly kitty! We found out that he belonged to a neighbor and they told us that they were looking for someone to take Merlin in since they were moving to Florida. We let them know that if they couldn't find anyone, we'd take him. A day or two later, our doorbell rings, and there's our neighbor holding out Merlin, saying "he's yours!" They also gave us his papers/vet history and we adopted him just days before his 1st birthday and kept his given name. (We like to think that Merlin chose us for his new parents the day he walked over to our front door.) We didn't know what our dog MooMoo would think of him but since she figured out he was here to stay, they get along most of the time, sometimes napping together. Merlin even grooms MooMoo - too cute!
Bio:
Merlin lives with his dog sister MooMoo. He gets chased around the house at least once a day by her but we've caught him being the instigator at times! He sticks up for himself and they make up afterwards, often taking naps near each other. Merlin is a lovey-dovey boy, loves attention, and will literally fall down and roll over on his back waiting for his belly to be rubbed. He's such a silly cat sometimes!

Hi, everyone!
I have a new sister - her name is Naomi! Isn't she pretty?
She came to live with us a little over two weeks ago. She's still settling in and exploring her new home. We've been getting along so far although she likes to test me and occasionally swat at me. When I get too close, she puts her paw up and Momma has to try not to laugh! Hence, her motto "Talk to the paw!" Very appropriate, I think!
Since Naomi is new to Catster, it would be great if you stopped by her page and made friends with her. Thanks!

Yes, that's right! I'm 7 years old today - wow!
Momma sang "Happy Birthday" to me this morning and after I finished eating my breakfast, she gave me some extra treats! Hooray! That's always a good way to start off my birthday! I can't wait to see what the rest of the day brings!

My annual vet visit went very well. We went to a new vet this year - it's closer to home so that means a much shorter trip in my carrier - hooray! MOL!
I did gain 1 lb so the vet asked Momma and Daddy to cut down on my treats - I didn't like that part at all.
Oh well...at least I know I will get an extra treat or two just for my birthday - it's next week! I will be 7 years old - just like my sister MooMoo.
