Such Indignity

Hey! Meowmy just came by me and scooped me up from my place and dumped me into the carrier. At midnight, nearly. Sheesh, there are no vets open now are there?
Then she left me in that carrier on the floor, and Dog-Guy was sniffing around it and I couldn't even do anything about it.
Then I got frantic to get out because I heard loud thunder and the TV was blaring about some tornado warning, and the lightening was flashing and the rain was coming down like Niagara Falls. I just wanted to hide, but I had been unceremoniously dumped into this carrier, no explanation, no warning, and I was mad, too...such indignity...
There were sirens too, though they were not nearly as loud as all that thunder.

Meowmy said she needed to have me ready to pick up to go into that furbidden spot - the cellar - if necessary. That would have been the ultimate insult, in this carrier, into the dungeon...oh, sorry meowmy, I meant the cellar, MOL!
Thankfully no one went down there, God put His protection around us, and that storm did not come here, though it was awfully close.
I hope evfurryone else is safe.

And those kitties we know at the R.B. said they are having a pawrty tonight...OMC, they really were living it up!

I gotta go and groom my ruffled furs, now.....

That was a big indignity, Minko. But we are glad your meowmie got you ready in case of dire emergency and that you and yours are safe.

Hi, Kitties!

We got to get out of our carriers after about an hour...it was just rainy after those storms went through.

We might have to endure a repeat purrfurmance tonight and the next...it is hot and humid, conditions which seem to 'grow' those storms...and we can see a long line of the to our west on the other side of Lake, Michigan...headed our way...sigh...

Those carriers are still out...and I will insist on calling our subterranean space a dungeon, we have a Michigan cellar, which is stones/rocks stuck together with mortar and an unfinished floor...full of dank, roots from some trees(!), and sometimes yucky bugs and critters...meowmy does not allow any of us furs to go down there evfur.

So glad you're safe and sound! If just a butterfly flapping its wings can change weather, we'll send our purrs to make those tornado monsters stay away from you.

So glad you're okay! Dang, we used to have to get locked in Daddy's study in the basement when we lived in Kentucky and there were bad storms. We don't have storms in Arizona - well, we have a few, but we don't have tornadoes. Good thing we don't cause we don't have a basement!

We get these storms now and then...but they do not seem to hit our area too often, thankfully. One time there was a bigger one in town, about 8 miles from us, and before that anther in a different part of town, those were about 3 years ago. Many years ago there was one that came through just behind us and to the south of us, it ruined meowmy's garden, but not our home. A lot of other homes were damaged. Sheesh, these things are so devastating and frightening, too.

We are glad that we didn't have to get into our dungeon, um...cellar.

Do you have a storm shelter if you don't have a basement?
