Black and White

Being shut out of the bedroom, grooming and bathing (by humans), not being played with, dry food.

Favorite Toy:
We have a stick with a toy on a string attached. The toy can be changed, but we had no money so I tied new pieces of string on the end. For solo play, love furry mice.

Favorite Nap Spot:
Our bed.

Favorite Food:
My boyfriend gave her a bit of sardine in olive oil once. She LOVED it.

Speed. It's hard to catch her when she doesn't want me to take her out of the bedroom or take away something she is not supposed to be chewing.

Arrival Story:
Got her from a shelter. The last owner dropped her off without a name or exact age. My boyfriend and I think she was abused. We got her in August, and she is very skittish. He got her to keep me company while he worked, but she likes him better. I think it might be partly because I have to give her medicine and brush her due to his allergies. She HATES brushing.

She's not the brightest cat, but she makes up for it with stubbornness. She loves rabbit fur mice, catnip, and will follow you into the kitchen with hopes that something edible will be dropped on the floor. I have not seen her jump on kitchen counters, but she will jump on anything near a window. She is very active and loves to play with people. Likes sitting in the window, and makes a trilling noise when she greets you. She will meet you at the door after a hard day's work, trill, and roll onto her back to show you how cute she is. I have taught her to sit up on her hind legs for treats. When my boyfriend does this, she cheats and leans a paw on his hand. She may be a one person cat. She likes my boyfriend, and becomes unhappy when I come near. She is a little nicer to me when he is not home, and seems a bit jealous. Like most cats, she will nibble on plants if within reach. However, she has a bit of a sensitive stomach, and has been fed Natural Cat Chow and the occasional Friskies can with great success. Beebee won't let me groom her, and has become more unhappy with me. She need someone who can handle a cat that does not want grooming and lets you know about it with claws. I have a nerve injury in one of my arms, so I can't take care of her. My boyfriend can't groom her because he is allergic, and will have a severe skin reaction if scratched. We need to find her a home soon. The only no-kill shelter in the area that takes in house cats has a $200.00 fee and a six month waiting list. We are taking in a cat my mom has that won't get along with her boyfriend's cats. We can't raise the funds for the shelter or wait very long. We don't want her to go back to the SPCA, and dread the thought of doing that. We live in Philadelphia, PA which has a high kill rate. We don't have a car, so we may need someone to pick her up if they live far away. Please reply as soon as possible. She is spayed, and has all her shots. Thank you!
