Arrival Story:
Buttercup was adopted with her brother Boots from the pound in Atlanta,Ga. Buttercup is every bit the lady. Everything about her says female. She is so dainty and lady like in almost everything that she does. From washing her face to grooming her self she does it in a lady like manner. She is a very quiet cat and enjoys her alone time with the sitter. Both she and Boots have a very unusual thing that they do. They both make their tails vibrate when they get excited about getting a kitty treat or a special meal. Buttercup loves her tummy yummies and is very good at conning the both of us in to giving them to her. She is also very picky about her food. She will eat chicken if it's grilled and she loves salmon. Buttercup is the perfect house cat. She has no interest in the outdoors and is perfectly fine with just being in the same room with you. She likes to lay in dresser drawers and on top of the dressers if she has something comfy to lay on. She also likes to sleep in baskets and we often find her laying in the laundry baskets. Like her brother she doesn't like to be held but loves to be petted, scratched and stroked. Buttercup is the glue that holds this cat family together. She often has the look of a wise owl and there are times when I expect her to say something wise and pithy. She is the kind of cat that makes you feel comfortable and relaxed, which is just what I need after being in a hectic environment for most the week.

We've all been real sad at the passing of our friend and house mate Hans. It's so very different around here now, so quiet and so lonely. We've all decided that we are gonna do our best each and every day to make our mama happy again in what ever way we can.

Hans we love and miss you very much....come see us real soon.

It's been a year now that me and my brother have been living with our daddy and so much has happened sense we've been here. The first thing was the sitter that would come and stay with us while daddy was away. That was real big change for me. But as time went on I started looking forward to seeing the sitter, she always brought me kitty treats that she called tummy yummies. She also made us fresh fish and chicken every day and she played with us too.

Just a few days ago I heard mom "the sitter" and our daddy talking about putting up a Christmas tree with lots of colorful ornaments and lights that flashed in lots of different colors. Now that's something for a cat to get real excited about. The only trees that I've ever seen have either been on the T.V or looking out the window. So having a real honest to goodness tree on the inside of the house is a kitty's dream come true. Not to mention all the added new toys that will be just hanging around.

I also heard mom say something about putting presents under the tree....I'm not real sure what presents are but, I can't wait to find out. Maybe it will be something that I can play with.

I do miss my real mom but, I am so glad that we came to live with daddy and that we have a sitter that comes to look after us every day.
