Arrival Story:
I'm in the Kalamazoo Animal Rescue and I rescued a litter of 6 somewhat feral kittens, just on the edge of being tameable. Three adapted quickly, Hawk, Mint and Blink are still on that edge. But would probably do better in a real home with loving "Parents" than my foster home with other kittens.

Bio:
His tiger stripes are more spots in places, could be part Bengal. Since he's a foster kitten in the Kalamazoo Animal Rescue, he can be adopted for a donation of $100. He's neutered, feline leukemia negative, be dewormed and had his shots. He's timid ("Chicken" Hawk) but likes being petted once caught ("Kitty" Hawk).

He was the cutest thing! Every time I saw him I needed to kiss him. He's at a new home, hopefully happy, healthy and loved.

Hawk's New Life

Hawk was seen on the Kalamazoo Animal Rescue website and identified as part Bengal. So the Bengal Rescue called me and we made arrangements for Hawk to go to them. He had been a very timid kitten, horribly feral, hissing and spitting; he'd bit me twice. But it was fear and I won him over. He started purring, even while pretending he was a tough guy and didn't like being petted. He loved his lower belly rubbed and had started head butting me. I was thrilled! Even when he was little and vicious, I'd wanted to kiss him so much (but he would have torn off my face back then!! LOL) But he was coming around, starting to really like being where people were.
So yesterday, a Bengal Rescue foster came and picked him up. We lured him into the carrier (I never could have gotten him in there) and he flipped out! I thought he would hurt himself, but he calmed quickly and off he went.
The new foster says he's adjusting well and actually sits on her boyfriend's lap. My little Chicken-Hawk has turned into a precious little Kitty-Hawk for good. So hopefully he'll find a wonderful home! My baby.
