OMC, I'm a DDP! Wowzer! Now I can swan around the house and act all high and mighty for the day.

I actually haven't written in my diary for a little while, so here's the news:

While mom was working on her story about fat cats, she became very self-conscious about the state of my and Diva's avoirdupois (actually, the vet brought it up), and as a result she has cut back on our rations! I'm not at all happy about that, but until I grow thumbs and can open the pantry door and pull the poptop on the food cans, there's not much I can do about it. Except make a lot of noise. I think she should worry about her own avoirdupois and leave ours alone.

Also, the husband has upgraded to captain at Delta Airlines. He's been a first officer for 13 years and was getting very grumpy about it. Becoming captain is all based on seniority - you put in your time and eventually you get a left seat, unless retirement arrives first. The FAA raised the retirement age to 65 a few years ago, so the husband had to wait a little longer for a vacancy to open up. He'll be flying the smallest, oldest plane in the fleet, the DC-9, which still uses rubber bands and chewing gum to operate. No more trips to Japan, Amsterdam, Paris, or Brazil. It will be strictly Biloxi, Syracuse, Kansas City, and other fun towns like that.

Anyway, I say he has no more reasons to complain about life -- he's got me, Mom, and four stripes on his uniform. What else is there?

it wont haz time ta stink...less oh course ya forget wear ya stashed it... N purrsonalee we like de clothing closet coz de shooz in there stink ta high acres N we could dump a case load oh flounder in ther N it wood go undee tected...

I'm confused about the B word, Tabbies. Brazil? Biloxi? I thought you only objected to b-rds.

I would stash fish if it were available. But the husband does the grocery shopping and he doesn't like fish too much, so we rarely have it in the house.

Hehehe - Monster asked my question: what "b" word - Biloxi?! Apparently, we missed this entry. And I'm concerned now about my avoirdupois. This is gonna keep me up nights... Oh, congrats on the DDP and to the husband for his stripes, (though I don't think he should be bragging about just FOUR of them - the Sleep's got WAY more than that!)
