Taking Naps, lying in the sun and sitting on my lap and being rubbed. Making friends with anyone who comes to the house. Lying on his back and checking things out from an upside down view.
Pet-Peeves:
Having his owners go out without him, not being able to go on top of counters, those annoying kitties who are allowed to roam free and who come into his yard and bother him
Favorite Toy:
Any box - any size or shape particularly those that are too small for him. Any bag especially shopping bags with handles he can get entangled in.
Favorite Nap Spot:
His fluffy cushion by the window in the sun, his flower pot on the pool deck and my lap where he can nap and get rubs!
Favorite Food:
People food especially fish, cheese - American not Swiss and cold cuts like roast beef and ham
Skills:
Gumby shakes paws with us and begs up like a dog for treats! He will also come when called unless there is a particularly interesting lizard or insect that he is inspecting near the pool or a squirrel he has his eye on!

Arrival Story:
Gumby was a stray at the country club at where I worked. Gumby adopted me at my office. I had a high backed desk chair. He started off lying at the top of the chair. Eventually he slipped down to the back of the seat of my chair. Finally, the chair became his and I found another chair and took kitty home!
Bio:
Gumby started out as a campanion to an 18 year old Jack Russell Terrier, Spike, who was very, very grumpy. Gumby tried to engage
Spike in playing, racing and other kitty pastimes but Spike was just too old. So, finally Gumby just looked out for Spike. Spike left us in November. Gumby really misses Spike and still looks around the house for him.
