Arrival Story:
I'd been out of state for a week, and when I came back there was this cute little fluffy-tailed cat outside being friendly to everyone and trying to follow them into their apartments. My neighbor said she'd been hanging around for five days and cried all night. She had no collar, so even though I didn't intend to keep her I took her in and started looking for a home. I didn't give her a name because I didn't want to get attached, so I just called her "the kitty". But of course my then boyfriend (now husband) and I fell in love with her so we kept her. And the name stuck.
