Arrival Story:
In Februaryof 2004 I had absolutely no intention of getting another cat when I came across Kiki. A rescue organization usually set up a table by my school & on a very cold winter day someone dropped Kiki off with them. She had been in a small cat carrier for 5 hours because no one was able to come get her. She had peed in the carrier & was freezing. I couldn't leave her there so I took her home just as a "Foster Cat". Haha! After 1 week my boyfriend (at the time) & I decided that 4 cats wasn't that much more trouble than 3.

Bio:
I've decided that Kiki was a stray for much of her life as she had no idea of how to live inside. I thought she was deaf when I first got her since she never responded to "kitty talk" but I realized she could hear the dogs barking & doors slamming. I think she had been a stray for so long that she didn't realize I was talking to her. She had to learn that the "kitty voice" was directed at her & now she responds with her crackly meow. She burned her tail twice by jumping up onto the stove while my ex was cooking. She watched the other cats play with confusion & didn't understand why they ran away when she attacked them. Things are smoother now, the cats can be on my bed together & Kiki even tries to sniff them. She had the biggest problem with Caseopia, I think because they were vying for the Sweetest Cat award in the house!
