Arrival Story:
I used to work in a school & one day I heard that a cafeteria worker had removed a kitten from her friend's drug addicted sons house. She was looking for a home for this little cutie & I knew as soon as I heard the circumstances that I was taking her home.

Bio:
Pele is very fat. She wasn't always this way, I swear! I don't feed her any more than the other cats & I give them all diet food. I think she just has a really really slow metabolism. Even our vet is at a loss as to how to get her to lose weight. Pele explores unfamiliar places like they're covered in landmines, for such a big girl she's awfully jumpy! She is a very strange cat & only likes attention when I'm not expecting it. I've woken up many times to find her lying on my stomach or back (usually because I can't breathe!) Although she frequently teases me with it she refuses to allow me to stick my face in her cute white belly. She prefers to butt her head against me (like a bulldozer) or knead my tummy so hard that sometimes I'm sore the next day! Pele loved my ex more than me but after we split up her attitude toward me changed. I think she realized that she was stuck with me so she better be nice. She has actually started laying on my lap a few times a week (okay, only for 4 minutes or so but it's something!)
