My undivided attention and FOOD! She can eat a lot for a tiny girlkit!
Being picked up when she's not ready, her brofur, Apollo and her sisfur, Gracie
Her fishing pole with the sparkly ribbons and a bell on the end, a curled up pipe cleaner or a sparkly crinkle ball
Favorite Nap Spot:
On "her" bed....in the Master Bedroom....under the covers, of course!
She loves anything I've given her so far, including Thanksgiving and Christmas TURKEY! :-)
Being about 80% blind, she has many in order to maneuver throughout life. She's extremely intelligent and very brave, trying new routes through the house. She does follow walls somewhat, and her ears and nose are amazing!
I heard about her from a dear friend and fellow cat-mom while following another blind kitty's story. Mia is about 80% blind, and was "surrendered" to a North Carolina shelter. She had been re-homed and the man who ended up with her couldn't cope with her blindness.
She is on her way to me in North Illinois via a "railroad" of fellow cat-mom's and is making furriends all along the way! I'm told Mia is a lapcat, a lovebug and a talker! A true Meezer!
Mia is home now and she definitely is a Meezer girl! She talks and purrs loudly on my lap. Her inquisitive little "prrts" are adorable as she asks me questions like, "where are you, Momma?" Mia is very brave and mastered the stairs the first full day she was here, along with the step down into the sun room! She is such a lovebug and a true lapcat...falling asleep on my lap whenever I'm at the computer (and Whispie or Flowie isn't already with me!)
Mia's sweet little face is so trusting...I just LOVE her and am so grateful for the Catster Railroad and all the Cat-moms and dads who made it possible for Mia to safely travel all the way from North Carolina to Northern Illinois!

YOUZA! (That's what Guido, the Italian Kitty would say!)
My sort-of-sisfur...Gracie, whom I live in the same house wif now...she ATTACKED me!
I couldn't believe it! I was only checking out "her" room! I didn't touch anything but the floor, I swear! OMC...she growled at me and then launched her chubby, round faced gray and white body right ON TOP OF ME! I'm only about 6 pounds, for Cat's Sake!
Well...there was a LOT of yowling and screaming and hissing and growling and Momma came running into the room to see cat fur flying efurrywhere just like in the cartoons! She had a fit!
Flowie is JUST getting ofur an abscess that COULD have come from a cat bite or scratch during a scuffle with Whisper and now THIS!
OMC....Momma scruffed Gracie, just like a Mom-Cat would a kitten and pushed me out the door with her foot (gently!).
I ran RIGHT into Apollo, who hissed at me! OMC! My poor little 80% blind eyes were wide and just BLACK, instead of their usual deep blue.
After Momma settled Gracie down, she close the door to "her" room and came out to see how I was.
Of course, I was rattled purrty badly and Apollo was just sitting there STARING at me! OMC!
I looked up when Momma said my name and I said "mew?" to her!
THAT started her bawling ofur my poor little blind Meezer self and she scooped me up and smoothed my furs (LOTS came OUT!)
Now Momma says she has to watch for any signs of abscesses on me or Gracie!
She's purrty upset, cos we NEFUR used to have this happen....just hissing and growling! Gracie is such a stinker and she doesn't want ANYFUR in "her" room! Momma usually notices when one of us (usually ME!) starts to wander in there, but she was making a cup of tea! Believe me, she's gonna either make SURE I am wif her or close the door to Gracie's room from now on! Like I said, this has nefur happened before and it really upset Momma!
I'm gonna lie down on the little chair by the window now and take a nap. Mom gave me a small bit of chikin and I'm ready to sleep....darn that Gracie!

Well, not really....but my title has been updated! Since I'm NOT traveling any more and I'm in my furrever home wif my Momma and sibs, I'm not Mia, The Traveling Meezer anymore!
Mom sez that since I have such a healing presence in ther life, my position should be MedicineCat and since I'm Meowvalous, my new FULL title is Mia the Meowvalous MedicineCat!
My NAME is still Mia, of course! Although Momma calls me Mia-Mya most of the time....she's so silly!
I told her that I miss the Meezer part of my title though! She said there's not enough room in the line fur all of it, and I'm OBVIOUSLY a Meezer when someone sees my picture, so she had to leave that out.
Otherwise, my title would be "Mia, The Meowvalous Meezer MedicineCat"!!! :-) I guess I can accept that....;-)
