Leave a treat for Peanut (Loving Memory 3/5/05)

Nicknames: Ki-ka-lee, Ki Ki, Itsy, Itsy Bitsy, Pee-er, Pee Pee Kitty, Scrappy Kitty, Spicey

Quick Bio:
Likes: meat, treats, eating plants, and human love

Pet-Peeves: other cat(s) in "her" way and hyper dogs

Favorite Toy: paper

Favorite Nap Spot: On my bed

Favorite Food: meat(s); she stole venison sausage off the table once at a party : )

Skills: silent purring, sitting up on her hind legs like a mere cat, eating household plants and puking

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story: She was just so little and cute and cuddly at the Humane Society I was volunteering at. She also had to be dog friendly or at least not absolutely afraid of dogs. She was so quiet when I first brought her home, then it turns out she got a bad kitty cold and was really sick for weeks. With loving care and patience she was nursed back to health though! She was already completely declawed and spayed from her previous life.

Bio: Peanut is a brown/black tabby with a white tip on the end of her tail. She has pretty green eyes and is very petite like a teeny "little peanut". She doesn't particularly like Indy, but I don't think she hates him either. At least she doesn't pick fights with him anymore like she did for awhile...LOL!
Poor Kiki, teeny little Peanut got very sick and we had to let her go (3/05/05).

My poor little Peanut had a seizure Friday night and was going downhill despite our loving care and best efforts. Unfortunately we brought her in to the vet clinic on Saturday 3/05/05 to let her go. It was too sad and painful to watch her be so sick and and not getting better. She was just a teeny waif and wobbly on her feet when she tried to walk. I think it was one of the most difficult things I have ever done but I couldn't let her suffer. My little Kiki, despite her illness, still managed to purr if we pet her and held her close. I don't regret the year she spent with me even if it was too brief; she was a special kitty.

Poor Peanut Kitty! She is not feeling good at all. She is not eating so much or drinking much. She has been to the vets and had an overnight stay, fluids, and a special warm water bed too. She is down to a mere 4.3 lbs; she really is a teeny kitty now! Her prognosis from the vet without doing extensive testing is not too good. We are doing our best to love her, coddle her, and baby her and give her fluids, baby food, tuna, and antibiotics and make her as comfortable as possible. Hopefully this is enough to get her through this rough spot to a miraculous recovery, but things don't seem so good. Keep us in your thoughts and send good vibes Peanut's way. She is pretty old and might even be older than we thought since I just adopted her a year ago. Poor baby kitty, but I am glad I was able to give her a loving home for as long as I could!!!
