Mom came home last night! She'd been gone since Thursday, and Dad said she was in the Biggest Little City in the World with the rest of her litter mates, celebrating Grandmom's 90th birthday. Dad did his best to take care of us. He's not bad at feeding, but let's face it, litterbox scooping and medicine giving are not his strong suits.
Mom also found five days' worth of newspapers in the driveway and five days' worth of mail in the mailbox, and she said, "Really?" in a tone of voice that suggested she was not pleased.
Grandmom is doing great and was excited that KU won its basketball game. Mom went to the casino one night with her brothers but said that the only machine she had any luck with was the ATM.
I was so glad to see her that I left my little heated bed and came in to sit with her and get my ears scratched while she watched "Downton Abbey."

This is one funny diary entry, Jasper! We can just see the look on your Mom's face when she saw all the newspapers and mail. Good thing she wasn't gone for a month! MOL! Happy birthday to your Grandmom. Wowza, she is old!
Oh yeah good diary entry. We don't understand men when they are left alone they don't do things like they should....You must of really missed your Mom leaving your warm bed to see her, oh what a love bug you are to get up when Mom came home.
My dad is the same way, except he would bring in the paper and mail...but feeding us and medication...not sure he would get it right and the scooping I don't think so.....like Mom says men!!!!!
We send our best wishes to your Grandmom and glad your Mom had a good visit.
I bet you made your mom feel great when you went to say hello! (moms are mushy like that) Mine gets all mushy when I touch her face with my paw in the morning & mrrt? Maybe your dad was so busy playing with you guys he forgot the mail? that woulda been The Dad round here's story....
MOL! Mom says that she has used that tone too! Tell Mom that at least he did the important things...he fed you! I bet you were not the only one that was happy she was home.
I miss my mum when not around. She has gone for more than few hours to go to work. So glad to hear from you. Always love to read about what's going on in your life.
