Arrival Story:
Bronte BB was found by our neighbours in their backyard (on September 1st, 2009). She was crying and trying to get into their home (although they don't have any pets). They were sure it was our cat (as we are the only ones with cats in the neighbourhood), so they brought her to us. When we told them she wasn't ours, they wanted to call the shelter. I knew the shelter was overpopulated, so she would've been put to sleep after 72 hours (if not claimed by the owners). I said I would take her and put announcements everywhere (vets, shelter, internet, pet stores), to look for her family. We believe she was abandoned, because nobody was looking for her (although she had kittens somewhere). Cats don't go far away from the kitties and she had no idea where she was, she didn't recognize anything. She was completely lost, she just followed people, crying. We took her to the vet to help her with the lactation and we spayed her when the swollen went down.
Bio:
She is a very smart cat, she is practical and very loving. She eats huge quantities of food at once, and she picks all the time the food with the highest protein level. She doesn't like too much the other cats, but she learned how to live with them (she is the boss, anyways), and she really loves our dogs. Although she is not officially ours (we are allowed to have just 6 cats), she is welcome here and we love her very much. Bronte BB means "Bronte - the Bastard Baby", as we cannot put her on our name. Our daughter wants to adopt her when she will graduate from University (and she will have a job and her own place).

Happy birthday to me!!! Happy Birthday to me!!!.....
Thanks Catster for my birthday wishes and presents!!!
I was at the vet today (I know, it sounds like they spoiled my birthday) and got my shots. I let mom know my entire disapproval all the way there, and back, and there a little because the rest of the time I was busy studying some funny dogs (I liked them and they liked me back). Mom was happy I don’t have 7 kg (as she was afraid); I have just 5.85 Kg (under 6, YES!!!). Our vet didn’t really get my mom happiness and he said I didn’t look like I’m starving, either. Well, no, but still I didn’t reach the amazing 6!!! When I came back I ate all the food I found (Boo-Boo’s included), just in case mom starts to really watch what I am doing all day...
I didn’t get my present yet, but I pray for some tasty treats instead of toys (because I can have all the toys I want from the other ones!). Is someone expert in telepathic science? I need some good advice, I am starring at mom now, but I don’t know if I am doing it the right way!...

I have one year here! Mom is afraid to take me to the vet for my annual vaccines (that moment comes soon, I am afraid), because I gained lots of weight this past year. I really, really, really like food, and I know exactly which one is not the diet one!!! I made myself a boss around here, as the other kitties were immature and needed a strong paw to keep things in place. Mom thinks Billy is the boss, but he just ... works for me!!!! I am in charge with waking mom in the morning to give us food, and after that she can have her coffee... She loves me for that! It is a win-win situation, I like food, and she likes coffee! I take good care of dad, showing him all my tricks (and my butt)! I think he really enjoys that because he calls mom to see me, too. I control the dogs, I let them wash me from time to time just to show them my greatness! My human sister adores me (too bad she is at school most of the time, but I get to see her in school breaks). She got the stupid kitties with her this year, and I love her for that!!! They were on my nerves with all that non-stop playing! Good we won’t see them till Christmas!!! (She asked me if I want to join them. Really??? ) I can have mom attending to me in a second if I cry a little! I’m telling you, I run the place! I don’t know how they survived before I got here! They are so lucky to have me!
I have to run now, BooBoo is getting the fattening food and I have to be there (just in case, you know).
