Yay! Finally Mom can read Catster at home!
But boo hiss on Verizon. They were supposed to be here between 8 a.m. and noon yesterday. Mom waited until 12:30 p.m. and then went to work -- she couldn't wait any longer, since she hadn't arranged to have someone cover for her the whole day. When she called Verizon in the afternoon, they first told her the work had been done at 3 p.m. Not likely, she said, since no one was there to let the tech in. Then the customer service rep called the technician, who said he was told to be there between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. (it was now about 4 p.m. and he said he hadn't gotten to the house yet).
The rep said she could either reschedule for an all-day appointment today (house arrest from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.) or wait for a 4-hour window on the weekend. Mom asked to talk to a supervisor. After a long wait, she got a guy who agreed to get someone to the house first thing this morning. And he was true to his word.
