Arrival Story:
It was a cold, cold winter morning in early 2003. There was a lovely dusting of snow on the ground. A nice treat in Tennessee; so of course I had to go out and appreciate the loveliness of this gift. Once outside, though, I found an even better gift. There, huddled together under Babe the Big Blue Truck, were two beautiful half-grown kittens. With much coaxing and a small trail of kitty kibble, they came out to eat and be petted a bit. But ran off if you moved around too much. For the next week or so, I'd sit out in the cold, feeding and petting them and earning their trust. Then, with the threat of another larger snow storm, I grabbed them up and they became house cats. Earning the names Roger and Emily. Sadly, after being neutered, Roger died. But Emily is still very much with us.

Bio:
Emily's super tiny, weighing in at only 5 pounds. But she's also super vicious when need be so she can take care of herself quite well. She keeps the 2 60+ pound dogs in check... when she's not too busy sleeping or bathing, of course. She's never quite learned how to control her claws and usually doesn't retract them. Issues? Oh, yes. She's quite special, though, with her one blue eye and one green and ringed tail. And when I had my bird, she only tried to kill her twice. A very good cat, indeed.
