Eating and cuddling with Mom.
When you try to say "no" to her. She yells back in a very Siamese-like voice.
My hair--she likes to chomp on it.
Favorite Nap Spot:
Anywhere near me but especially under my chin.
She can run backwards almost as quickly as forwards.
In mid-February 2007, I was a wreck trying to recover from surgery. At the same time, I lost my darling Elliott (an all-black kitty) to stomach cancer. Elliott's sister, Princess Tessa, and I were devastated.
In late April, after giving up the search for two kittens to give Tessa company, my vet called. A litter of four had been left at their door and included one boy tuxedo--that's what I wanted. (However, she had convinced me that two kittens were required as one would drive my then 9-year-old Tessa crazy.)
My vet told me that one of the male kitten's three sisters was a Snowshoe. I asker her to repeat that and what was that? She emailed me a photo. I was in love. Drove to the clinic the next morning and brought the Snowshoe, whom I namesd Shiraz, and her brother, Manuel (Manny for short) home.
Took a few weeks, but almost three years later, we're a happy feline family. (I had never had to introduce new kitties to a resident kitty. I was crazier than the kitties!)
As a kitten, Shiraz was all light cream with bits of seal color. Her coat was the texture of a Brillo pad. (Remember those?) Is that common for Showshoe kittens? Now's she is very silky and everything wonderful that Snowshoes are supposed to be.
