Arrival Story:
San Antonio, TX. April 1995. I told a friend that I really wanted to adopt a cat....preferably two - one black and the other orange. Three days later, as this same friend and I were walking to my car, a man came out of the alley from behind the house. "Hey, do you want some kittens?" he asked. He was holding a shoebox with two tiny kittens - one black, one orange. The man said he was going to throw them into the dumpster(!!), so I immediately took them. Boerne is named after a beautiful, Texas hill-country town just outside of San Antonio. His brother, Skokie, was named by my friend who once lived in Skokie, Ill. (She had a funny story about the word "skokie").

Bio:
Except for dogs, Skokie doesn't have a single territorial bone in his body. He develops a crush on any cat he meets....male or female. He's my monkey boy.
