I can't believe you've been gone so long. I miss you so very much. You were a very special and very smart kitty. I miss your sweet personality and the way you ran when I only had to say the word "vacuum". I miss you running to the fridge every time I went in the kitchen. Mommy loves you.

A Time to Remember

They come into our lives for such a short time
A time we wouldn't trade not even for a dime
Then before you know it the years have flown by
And then all of the sudden we're saying good-bye

It wasn't that long ago we said our good-byes
We held on to you tight as you closed your eyes
Your spirit has flown home on the wings of a dove
Into God's loving arm's; in heaven above

Over the days we've shed many tears
But the memories we have will live on for years
We feel your presence and we know that your near
You're keeping us safe and calming our fear

We think about memories from years past
When you were young and strong and ran so fast
We remember all the great times that we all had
How you always made us happy never made us mad

They were the best and happiest years we had
We'll always look back on them and never be sad
We look forward to the time we'll be together again
And we thank the Lord for such a great friend

Now you run and play up in Heaven above
Cradled in God's arms covered with his love
Playing by the Bridge waiting for the day
We come down thru the meadow to the bridge to stay

The love that you showed us we'll never forget
Because to us you're one very special pet
You're like a star in the dark of night
Always watching over us with the Lord's light

So now we take time to remember our best friend

I would like to thank each and every one of you for your kindness and support at this difficult time. Each time I think Mommy is getting ok, her eyes start leaking again. She said I acted so cute at the vets. The vet came in and said Hi Smokey, and I said Hi right back. I was so lively, but I was also so hungry and mommy couldn't stand to see me suffer. They told her the only treatment would be to remove my jaw and give me chemo. As much as mommywanted to keep me close to her, she couldn't put me through such horrible surgery. I know mommy did the right thing, but she's so sad. I hate to see her sad. I know I'll see Mommy again some day.

From the Bridge to all my friends

I'm at the Rainbow Bridge tonight

Well, folks, I guess my brothers Kodi and Winston and my sister Samantha needed me at the bridge. Mommy took me to the (pfft pfft) vet tonight and unfortunately I had a tumour on my jaw bone. I never acted sick or different to mommy and it was an inward tumour, so she didn't notice it. I never had any symtoms. But last night, I couldn't eat anything, even though I tried so hard. Mommy is sad because it happened so suddenly. Mommy's eyes were leaking at the vet and she was making these awful sounds. Mommy please don't cry. I was in a lot of pain and couldn't get better. I know you didn't want to let me go, but it just hurt so much mommy and I was so hungry. You know how much I loved to eat! I'll be right here with my brothers and sisters waiting for you. Kodi, Winston and Samantha and even Pywackett, whom I hadn't met before, came down and took me up to the bridge. It's so beautiful up here. I am not in pain anymore and have all the food I can eat. Everyone is so nice to me here. I even got to sit on the lap of a beautiful angel. It's ok mommy. I love you and miss you so much. I will come down at night when you're sleeping and give you little sandpaper kisses. I'll see you before you know it Mommy.

To The Vet

Well, my friends, mommy says I'm not acting like myself. She says I'm usually so ravenous, but not anymore. I stick my tongue out a lot and drool and act like my mouth is sore. Well, duh mom, it is! So, she has decided to take me to the (pfft pfft) Vet tomorrow. She's hoping it's a simple tooth problem and not the cancer that killed my brother Winston.

I'm sure it's nothing, but Mommy is not convinced. Silly Mommy. I will report back here tomorrow evening and let you know what tat (pfft pfft) Vet person says.

Until then. Keep me in your prayers. It makes mommy feel better.

My name is Smokey.....

1. I am a little nervous around children. They're so loud and jumpy! I hide till they go home.
2. I am deathly afraid of the vacuum. All Mommy has to say is the word "vacuum" and I hightail it to the bedroom to hide!
3. I love my mommy and tolerate my brother and sisters. Sometimes I will attack the girls, but if mommy is home she makes me stop. That's no fun!
4. My favorite place to be is sitting at the refrigerator, looking up, waiting for the door to open and hopefully get a treat. Mommy buys us deli meat chipped. I like it way more than the others do.
5. When Mommy is watching tv, I will get on the arm of the couch and give her head butts and meow until she goes and gets me a treat. Who rules in this house?
6. I eat any kind of food. I prefer wet though.
7. I love to sit on mommy's lap, but there's only one of her and 3 of us, (Tink isn't a lap cat at all! mol)
