Dear kitty friends, I am incredibly happy to be featured as Catster's "Diary of the Day!" Mommy and Daddy are so proud of me and want to thank everyone for the kind words, friend requests and gifts!

This morning I climbed on top of a sleeping Mommy and stared at her until she woke up. Then I jumped off the bed and ran to my tunnel in anticipation of playtime. Sadly, she said, "No, Murf, I'm still sleepy" and went back to bed. Lazy!

I admit I've been snoozing most of the day on Daddy's computer chair, though. I'm so lethargic I didn't even stop to inspect what was in the grocery bags when Dad got home from the store. He calls me his poison inspector because I'm always sniffing new purchases. Little does he know I'm just checking to see if he bought me more treats!

A couple days ago I rediscovered the joy of playing in my pop-up tunnel. I ignored it for months but all of a sudden it's my go-to spot for attacking toys. I was so excited to play when Mom and Dad got home from Target tonight that I ran really fast into the tunnel and ended up nearly crashing head-first into my toy box. Yikes! I'll have to be more careful next time.

I found a new spot to nap today: on top of Dad's black North Face. I plan on acting completely oblivious to all the fur being deposited on it as a result.

Mreowary, sometimes I feel like M&D don't understand me. I let out a really long, soulful meow when Mom got home from the gym and all she said was, "Wow! Really?" Maddening!

At least I have tomorrow to look forward to: it's Fancy Feast Appetizers night. Ocean Whitefish, here I come!

Why aren't my fish toys edible?

This morning I woke up in a haze on the bedroom floor and stretched so strenuously I immediately got tired again and fell back asleep. Thirty minutes later, I decided to stop being lazy so I made my way to the kitchen for a sip of water. Like always, I dipped my paw in the bowl several times to ensure that it wasn't just a mirage. Mommy insists she wouldn't trick me but you can never be sure. After all, she's the same human who squirts a foul-smelling liquid on my neck each month to prevent something called fleas.

All this typing has worn me out. It's almost time for my 9:55 p.m. nap, anyway.

Murf
