Fancy Feast canned Chicken and Turkey. He used to eat a special diet for all his illnesses, but now he has decided this is what he wants.

Arrival Story:
My husband (then boyfriend) and I were taking a walk. We heard loud dog barking/growling noises and squealing kitty noises which really concerned us. We followed the noise....and were totally stunned by what we found. We will spare the details as it gruesome and graphic....we just knew we had to get the cat away from that situation. When the man with the dog saw us, he pulled the dog away and left....and the cat ran off. Luckily we found him under a car....catching him was a whole different issue. This cat was hurt and scared beyond belief. We finally got him and took him to the vet. After he was released from the vet, he went to live with my boyfriend (now husband) across the street. He remained under the bed for weeks and would not let anyone near him. If you approached him or touched him, he would attack you and fight for his life. Not a good situation. We were not sure we could handle him, but we had to try...he deserved a second chance at a good life. We knew if we didn't keep him, no one would....so we did. To this day, he is still defensive, somewhat aggressive and has trust issues. Who could blame him? However, it does make it difficult in certain situations. We have had him for 17 years and he still attacks when he becomes scared. It is simply a fear based reaction. He does try so hard to be gentle and loving...and he is, in his own special way. We love him and accept him for who he is.....We simply allow him to be. At first we wanted to name he Cuddles....but given his personality we changed his name to CK....the short version of Cuddles Kitty. He is a great addition to our family and has a special place in our hearts. He is our special needs kitty who really learned to be a part of our family with the help and support of his bridge kitty sister, Jazzi Sunshine Angel.

I am so thankful.....I am Cat of the Day! What an honor!

OMC!!!! When I woke up this morning, I found wonderful rosies, gifts, and pmails!!! To my surprise, I am being honored as CAT of the DAY by Catster!!! Thank you….as this really comes as a shock. I just made my appearance on Catster not too long ago (although I have been with my family 18 years or so) and never expected something like this. I am pretty shy and too myself…but am slowly coming around. I know I am loved and safe here with all my friends. To know you accept me for who I am….and love me despite my ways…there are no words. Thank you for all the wonderful gifts, too.

My wonderful kitty angel sister, Jazzi Sunshine Angel and my special doggie sister, Sissy, have always told me how incredibly special Catster/Dogster is…..I decided to come out of my shell and give it a try. Wow!!! I still can’t believe it. I am not sure I deserve such an honor after only be here for such a short time. Mommy says I do deserve this honor and tells me I am one special boy….to overcome all the obstacles I have faced is amazing in itself….to have found a loving family to be patient with all my fears, moods, and behaviors….and to be welcomed so lovingly to the Catster/Dogster family is remarkably special.

Thank you Catster HQ for making me feel even more special, accepted and loved. Wow!!! Thank you to you all!!!

My family and I wish you the best 2010 ever. Our year has been full of much joy and many challenges....we know each day is a gift and we intend to live each day in 2010 with that in mind.We will embrace all that comes with strength, tenacity, and thankfulness.

I also want to share, both Sissy and I have a new boyfriends. It is wonderful to have someone to love Sissy in her golden years....as well as share my heart with a special angel at the bridge.

To each of you...thank you for being part of our lives and hearts.....you make each day special.

May your New Year be full of love, peace, joy, and the knowing awareness you are never alone....put your paw over your heart and we are there.
