Roxy is the sister of Oareo and Lizzy. She was stolen during the rescue of all the other kittens and kept on a neighbors boat from August 3 until October 8, 2009.
i was walking past the neighbors boat, and this tiny 3.3 lb baby literally jumped into my arms as i passed. i quickly turned around and headed back to my boat, put Frontline on her and brought her inside. As of this writing, no one has even come looking for her.
i took her to the vet the next day and other than being a bit small and having an eye infection, she is doing well. Because the eye infection was left untreated, her right eye looks a bit cloudy, but the vet says she can see out of it. Grrrrrr. i so hate people who dont want the responsibility of caring for a kitten. i guess the novelty wore off. i shudder to think what would have happened to this precious baby if i hadnt intervened.
When i was doing the kitten rescue on August 3, i knew i saw 2 black & white kittens, but when they were all caught, there was only one, Oareo. i knew there were two. Mystery solved!
Hi, i have been named Roxanne by my new Mom&Dad. Roxy for short. Mom thought of that name after she saw me climbing on the rocks. That scared her...so that very day she walked by the boat where i had been staying and when i saw her, i just jumped into her arms. She took me home where i was reunited with my brother Oareo and my sister Lizzy. i am so happy.
i had fleas, was very hungry, and my right eye isnt so good.
i am a lover. i love to cuddle with my Mom at night.

i know this isnt the best "first entry" but i need to tell my story!
i was born to my momcat Oreo, just like my sisfur Lizzy and my brofur Oareo, but i was kittennapped!
As my humom was rescuing the others, a mean, grumpy man stole me and took me to his boat. i was held captive there for 2 months...i am a tiny girl and yet i was allowed to wander- unsupervised--on the rocks near the water here at the marina.
My humom saw me on her video and made it her mission to insure my safety...okay...
So one day about 2 weeks ago, humom was walking by my then home and i saw her...i leaped into her arms as she walked by and the rest is history.
i got a flea bath and Frontline to help with my itchies and the very next day i went to the vet. Humom saw that my right eye was cloudy so she took me. The vet said i can see and gave me ointment to put in it...she said it might go away and it might not, but humom says it doesnt slow me down.
So, you'd think everything would be fine now that im in my new furever home with my littermates, right?
Well, a dear friend named Lyn visited us on October 25. She came all the way from the UK to meet Moozer mate! She is AlfiechinacatUK's mum.
We were all very happy to meet her and everything was great till Monday night. It was getting late...around midnight and humom was looking for me...she was calling me but i could not hear her. She became frantic. Dad and Lyn started looking too and suddenly Dad went to the fridge. He opened the door and there i was. i fell out, on my side with a *thunk* and let out a soft mew. Dad yelled, humom screamed and i woke up and shook it off!! Its estimated that i was in there for just over an hour. OMC.
Humom feels like the worst catmom ever because she remembers the fridge not closing so she gave it a shove!! If Dad hadnt opened the door when he did, this story would have a much sadder ending.
Everyone gathered around me and spoiled me for the rest of the night.
Humom wrapped me in a blanket and held me for hours till i drifted off to sleep...safe at last.
i did not let on, but i know Mom came up many many times during that very long night to make sure i was still okay.
i think im down to like 7 lives!! ...and im only 4 months old.
Thank you for listening to me...
Tell all your pawrents to be sure to check before closing any appliance door...kids like us just dont know any better.
A special thanks to Dad for saving me.
i forgive you Mom.
