Gracie is so happy now

Hi everyone ,,talked to Gracies new mom ,,Gracie is doing great. She had begun to rub against her new mom and purr. She has a brother there ,who is about her age,,he only has 3 legs ,,sad story behind that one too ,,but he is just awesome ,,,
Gracie is roaming thur the house and loves laying in the window ,on a pillow of course ,,and watching the birds around there . She is eating and going to her litter box just as if she had always did it there. She loves it there and is slowly getting over being nervous,,,yea Gracie

another update

Gracie is doing great in her new home ,she has new sisters and one brother ,,her new mom talks to her alot too ,,she is now brave enough to roam thur the rest of the house ,,and checking out the rest of the family ,,we are so happy she is safe and in a for ever home too ,,thanks everyone for your support and prayers .

Gracie's update

Hi Everyone, I spoke to Gracie's new mom. Gracie is settling in just awesome. Her mom keeps her in the spare room for now ,she has a soft bed and her own litter box and dishes in that room. Her mom comes in and sits at her desk to do her writing,,while Gracie sits nearby and looks at her. Gracie now is rubbing against her legs and purring. Of course with her fluffy tail in the air and just talking away lol. Her mom opens the door so gracie can look out into the rest of the house,,,when the other kitties are out in their sunroom or outside.Gracie hasnt come out of that room yet but she looks out the door alot .
Gracie is eating well and using her litter box as if she has always been there.

Gracie still likes to sleep in the back of the closet with her back against the wall, so she is allowed to be this way for now.

It feels great to have found this lady a loving and forever home. Thanks everyone for being there for Gracie. I hope and pray we can help more kitties find forever homes too.

Hi everyone. I talked to Gracies new mom. She had to take one of her other kitties to see the vet so asked her vet to just check Gracie over. We dont have much medical history on poor Gracie other than she is fixed and declawed . We use the same vet to for our cats so we know her well.
The vet said that Gracie has been very upset over all that she has been thur the last month or more.
It seems that when she was at that mans house and being locked in closets etc,,verbally abuse etc. Gross.
She had been bitting the inside of her hind legs and pulling out her fur out of sher boredom and stress. Thats why we could see ,what looked like, a shaved area on her tummy and inside of her hind legs. Mind you ,it took a long time before she would let us see that area too, because she was so stressed out and nervous.
Seems when some humans get stressed they bite their nails or pull their hair out , its the same with some cats they will do this kind of thing to themselves. But Gracie has healed up very nicely since she came here with us too.
Her new mom has been sitting and talking to her ,just letting Gracie come to her when she is ready. Playing with her and just spending time together. Gracie has a room with a nice window to lay in to look outside ,her litter box is there along with her dishes and some toys.
The other cats are kept away until they all get used to the new smell of another cat in the house lol. Seems the last cat took over 3 months to settle down ,wow the patience eh.

found a new home

Hi Everyone. Guess What! My human mom found me a very good home. I will be moving this coming thursday ,,my new human mom takes in other older kitties who dont have a home anymore. Guess I will have more sisters and brothers eh. Meow
There is a older kitty living there now ,who is 12 years old. Wow eh. I will have a room all to myself for a bit too.

Will let you all know how it goes ,,my new mom stops in here now and again to talk to me and to get to know me before my big move ,,I am excited and scared at the same time. Purrrrr

Gracies story

Hello. Gracie's elderly family is gone. She is 9 years old ,declawed, and spayed . She is confused as to what happened to her and why she is here it seems to me.
Her human dad passed away and her human mom wasnt able to take care of her either. Her human mom was placed in a nursing home. The daughter was unable to keep her so placed a ad for someone to adopt her. She thought this cat was going to a good home. But the guy who took her treated her like crap. She was locked in a closet for days on end without food or water. He yelled at her ,didnt hug her or pet her. So some people I know took her away from him but their landlord said no to the cat. Since they couldn't find her a good home had to take her back to this hell. I found out about her so went there and was able to convince him to let me have this cat. He didn't even remember her real name said he called her sassy because she would hiss at him. No wonder eh.

So we brought her home ,she is a nervous wreak. She cant go outside as she is too afraid ,without claws it wouldnt be safe.

We have 4 cats here and there is tons of hissing and growling here now. Please help us to find her a forever home. She does growl but thats its. She is a sad kitty. But she didnt deserve to be abused like that .
