People, a nice nap spot, being outside, love, kids, her "baby", paper.
Cats she has never met before, being held for very long, the rain, not having food in her bowl.
Her 'baby'(a ragged old piece of string, that she talks to & carries around)
Favorite Nap Spot:
In her basket, on the bed, on the cat bed, in the window, on the coffee table.
Turkey, chicken, dog food.
Sealing your heart in a matter of seconds.
indoors and outdoors
I have known Clemy since she was a young kitten. Our next door neighbors adopted her & her sister Valentine from some people who had an oops litter. Clemy lived in quite a full house with 5 kids, 2 dogs & another cat named Baby (her sister was sadly hit & killed by a car in 2008). Her owners also had her living has an almost 100% outside cat, though she never left the cul-de-sac, and she made friends with everyone on the street including us. Sadly back in 08 the family split up & the wifr bought a new house & took all the animals with her including Clemy. Clem didn't adjust well and kept coming back, which was very dangerous because she had to cross several busy streets, so the husband kept her until her moved in August of 09 & he could no longer keep her. So we gladly took her in. We started just feeding her & slowly transitioned her into living inside our home & getting used to the dogs (and them to her) and she has totally become a part of the family. She spends most of her time living inside but we still let her outside here & there. We love her to death.
Clementine is such a special girl. She is such a happy & friendly girl and is all about attention. She is the sweetest cat I have ever met and loves every single person she meets and is also a very patient cat who I can say 100% would never bite somebody even when pushed. Cats are a different story because she has no problem putting Charlie in his place. Before she lived with us she was outside all the time & got into several big fights with a big black cat named Jacob who lived up the street. One fight even left her missing one of her front canine teeth, but it has never been a bother to her & she eats totally fine. She is also a very talkative girl & when she wants to be outside it is all you will hear about for hours. She is also a quriky little thing. She is the only cat I know that adores her collar, she struts around with it like it a diamond necklace & gets mad when you take it off. Another quirk is that she has a "baby" she loves sleeping with & will talk to the only thing is that it is an old tied together piece of string. Such a silly girl. Sadly on 7/12/2012 we said goodbye to our dear Clemy Lou after a short but strong battle to lymphoma. We miss her so much.
Oh my darling, oh my darling......

It has been several months since I passed away, and as time has gone on things have gotten easier. Though they still miss me greatly. They continue to think and talk of my often, but now they can do so without breaking down in tears. Little Dora even reminds them of me sometimes. They call them her "clemy moments". They usually include when she drinks out of the peep's glasses of water (something I loved doing) or her new habit of eating the dog's kibble (dog food was my favorite!). She also can be quite sassy and is pretty confident just like me. Though we are very different cats, it is fun to see her have a few similar qualities to me.
The peeps are finding themselves missing me even more during the current holiday season. I adored Christmas time! The only thing I wasn't a big fan of was the cold weather and even worse...the snow! I would ask to go outside only to find it freezing so I would beg to come back in but once inside I would forget about how cold it was so about 10 minutes later I would ask (and not stop asking!) to go outside again! This would usually go on for about an hour before I finally just found a cozy nap spot and slept it out. But other than that this season was the best! The tree was awesome and I really enjoyed rubbing up against the tree and once in a while playing with those fun ornaments. And all the festive decorations were a blast to mess with! Oooh and the presents! I loooooooooooved presents! Not just ones for me, just gifts in general! If there was a present being wrapped or even unwrapped I HAD to be there. It usually took the peeps extra time to wrap presents with me playing with the ribbon and rolling around on the paper but they didn't mind because of how much I adored it. The best was last year on Christmas morning. We had a big mountain of presents and I was just beyond happy! I jumped from gift to gift, chewing on ribbon and rolling around on them, and once the peeps started opening the gifts I was right there to help! They will really miss me tomorrow morning. But they are glad I got one last Christmas in before I became ill and passed away.
Happy Holidays all!

It has now been one month since I left my family. It seems like such a long time they have been without me but at the same time it also feels like they held me in their arms just a few days ago. They still miss me terribly and I continue to be on their minds on a daily basis. Many things remind them of me and they will start talking about but now instead of tears they get a smile from thinking of me. But the tears still do come here & there, especially for the girl. Sometimes she will really start thinking about me and just get overwhelmed by how much she misses her Clemy Lou. All she really wants is to have me come struttin down the hallway spouting off my raspy meows and running towards her ready to give headbonks.
Dora has been a big help though. When one of the peeps are feeling down all they have to do is go downstairs and hang out with the little squirt and she always cheers them up. She also has really helped Charlie. Without her around he would have sure been very depressed but she has kept him super busy. He will still look for me every once in a while. And sometimes he will just sit by the door leading into the garage and stare at it for a while and the peeps know he is waiting for me to come in. He used to do this when I was alive & he would he hear me out there but now he does it hoping that I will be out there.
Another thing that has been helpful is looking at pictures of me. The girl loves going through all the pictures of me, especially the goofy ones. He favorite is the one of my in that blue sweater. After it was taken it became a bit of joke around the house and they would print off the photo and pin it around the house & they even had it made into a mousepad for the desktop computer. It makes the girl smile everytime she sees it!
The girl also made a great discovery today when she was going through lots & lots of old photos on the desktop computer: a couple of younger photos of me! They are from late 2006 when I still lived with my other owners. It was very neat to see them! The girl took them when she pat sit for my old owners one time, in a few I am wearing a blue collar which is funny because I only wore that thing for about 3 days out of my entire life. The girl tried to talk my old peeps into getting me into wearing a collar but they always took it off. Luckily when I came to live with my new peeps they put a collar on me and I looooooved it so much and kept it on till the day I passed.
It was really nice for the peeps to find those photos, especialy on today of all days.
