Dear Diary,

it's my 16th birthday today!

Last autumn I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and CRF. I also had one epileptic seizure.

Mom was really worried about me for weeks, but soon after getting medicine I started to recover slowly.

Nowdays I take two kind of medicines daily (Mom gives them both at the same time) and I'm on strick renal diet. Mom wants me to eat at least once in 3 hours so that I wouldn't get any more epileptic seizures (because of low blood sugar.)

So Mom taught me to wake her up at nights! Can you imagine!

I wake her up every night, several times. I put my paw on her chin and she wakes up immdiately, gives me food and goes back to sleep.

Even though I'm old and have cronic diseases I feel fine. Mom gives me extrastrong vitamines for my energy and it works - I love to run and play with Vieno every day, I even ask Mom to play with me at evenings!

I'm quite skinny but that's because of CRF, I can't gain any weight no matter how much I eat. But that's ok, we are happy as long as I'm feeling good.

If you want to visit my blog you're most welcome!

Dear Diary,

it's been a long time.
Vieno has been very busy with her blog lately but now she left computer and went to the balcony and I rushed to write this entry.

Summer has been good, I've liked it a lot.
Mom took us to take our annual shots few weeks ago and it was quite an experience for all of us. Vieno almost got a heart-attack (I'm not kidding) and I drooled and panicked because I saw her horror. Mom says it was one of the most terrible vet visits she'd ever had, and she's seen a plenty. But our doctor, Tuija Salminen, took good care of us and made the experience as easy as possible. She even tricked Vieno to think that she was there just to keep me company! She's a good vet. She also complimented me on my weight. I guess many cats are fat because they eat all kind of junkfood and she was happy to see DSH which has been fed healthy food. That's not so common, unfortunately.

Mom has promised Vieno that she will bring us a kitten some day. I don't really know what to think about that. I guess I can handle two babies the same way I can now handle one... Somehow I like to play the mommy role but don't tell anyone, that's too embarrassing. It's just that I lived alone for 10 years and now when I finally got company I really want to enjoy every moment of it. And it's easy to like Vieno, she's adorable girl.

What else... oh, yes. I haven't vomit since Mom stopped serving me food with wheat. It was that simple. It took few months for her to figure out the reason for my vomiting. Wheat, dairyproducts and some preservatives make me feel sick. That's why I get to eat Almo Nature jellies every day. Think... 70 gr tin costs 1,10 €. That's 1,35 US$ and 1,8 AU$ (that's for Keiser :)) and it's not even 100 gr. I think it's very expensive but ah, so tasty and healthy. Mom says "in this family cats come first."

Sun has set while writing this and it's only 10 pm. It means autumn is coming soon. I'm waiting for those cosy, warm evenings we're going to spend together, all three of us. Soon we'll celebrate our first anniversary together. It's been a good year. After my Old Man died I thought I couldn't ever like anyone again. But time heals. Now I can easily say that I love Vieno and Mom, very much indeed. And I know they love me, I feel it every day.

I'm also happy for Mom. I feel she's overcome her sorrow for Rommi and Sissi. She cries only once a week nowdays. I guess time will heal her sorrow as well. I know she loved those souls very dearly but now she has us in her life. She often says she feels very blessed because she's been able to connect with such an amazing spirits as Misu, Piukku, Rommi, Sissi, Vieno and myself. Sometimes I think she must have been a cat, or some other animal, in her former life.

Now I must rush to play with Vieno. Thank you diary for being here for me.

Dear Diary,

Mom found long time ago a good petshop (4Pets) from where she buys most of our stuff; food, toys, beds etc. If they don't have whatever she has in mind they always try to get it for her.

Sometime ago Mom asked for natural brand called Almo Nature and today it arrived to the shop and ofcourse Mom rushed there. She bought all different kind of jellies, patés and tins, different flavors. The meat is 100% free range and fish 100% sea water fish, so it's hormone free. And needless to say there's no additives. My stomach loves Almo Nature! As it does love Animonda's Vom Feinstein Menue and Carny's Fisch Menue! I myself love all wet food but unfortunately my stomach doesn't agree with me. It knows better, so to say.

Mom was talking with the vendor who said that the other vendor told her earlier that if she could choose in what form to re-born, she would choose to be Sari's cat in her next life! (Sari is my Mom.) It was so funny and so sweet! I know what it's like to be Mom's cat and I can't imagine any better deal.

Dear Diary,

this is how I feel about the last three:

Vonzell:
I didn't like I'll never love this way again, it was boring like most of her ballads and I felt like she was one note behind.
Chain of Fools is the kind of music Vonz should sing!
Simon picked up a perfect song, On the Radio, for Baby-V.

Bo:
Don't let the sun go down on me is not my favourites but Bo did a great job. Like Paula said, it was "Pure Brilliance".
In a dream was very confident and strong performance. The man really is a gift.
Paula's choice Can't get no satisfaction was great fun.

Carrie:
Crying showed once again that she really can sing but like I've always said, there's something missing and tonight Simon put it into the words. He said Carrie was "wooden". That's exactly what I mean. Her voice is perfect but she's a little stiff.
Making love out of nothing at all was, in my opinion, one of her best performances, very powerfull and difficult song to sing. Great job.
Randy's choice I feel like a woman was fun performance.

It's obvious that jugdes would like to see Bo and Carrie in the final. I hope they get what they want, it's exactly what I want too.

Since the beginning I've been hoping that Bo would win. I still feel the same. He's very special.

Dear Diary,

Anthony was voted out. I'm satisfied as long as either Bo or Carrie wins.

Have you already heard the song called Simon can't sing ? Singer is Sara Nunes, a young finnish woman living in Helsinki. Here's an article by MTV and another by Rolling Stones.
It's a fun song, check it out!

Dear Diary,

bookers told earlier (in tv-news) that Finland won't make it to the finals. They seem to know everything in advance in this competition. We didn't make it.
I didn't even bother to watch the show.

Mom's been in Italy, both in Lombardia and in Sicily. Oh, she likes Italy a lot and the town she's most keen on is Florence. What a beauty it is!

Italy has something she may not even know about. She has an author called Donna Leon living in Venice. Leon's books can be found in every other major language except in italian. If you enjoy reading Maigrets you will love Brunettis!

Dear Diary,

I'm so excited. I heard that Mom's dear friend is going to join us next Saturday and we're all gonna watch American Idol together! She has been a fan of Vonzell since the beginning of the show and we, ofcourse, adore Bo and Carrie. I can't wait Saturday, it'll be so fun!

Dear Diary,

after Constantine was voted out I have been listening to his remarkable version of How You Remind Me countless times. And it still gets better every time. I know C has made an album, maybe I should check it out even though I have made a promise not to spend any euros on products of Idols, except Bo's album, of course.
Constantine, we're so proud of you! I'm sure we're gonna see you also on the big screen later.

Yesterday we saw the Leiber/Stroller & Billboard songs.
Bo is The King BUT, now we know there's a Queen also. She's Carrie and she truly was An Idol yesterday.

And if you missed Bo singing Stand By Me you missed a Star Performance.

There's not much to say about Vonzell, Anthony and Scott except that I liked Anthony's version of Incomplete . As did Simon, by the way. Randy hated it but somehow I rarely agree with him...

Ps. I saw great document of a beautiful girl named Terri Calvesbert. She's a true Hero and so is her father.

Dear Diary,

I'm so shocked I can hardly write this entry.
Constantine was voted out of Idols just a minute ago.

I'm speechles.

Maybe next week it's Bo and then Carrie. And maybe Scott will win the competition. Stranger elections have been seen, unfortunately...

There's downsides in democracy. Even lobotomics are aloud to vote and, then again, no-one can force a sensible man to vote.

I'm much too angry to write anything more now.
Maybe I will feel better again after watching K-PAX with the brilliant Kevin Spacey. Mom told me it's a movie that makes one smile.

Dear Diary,

Anwar is gone.
I write this after the last six gave their performances. Songs were "after the millenium" and this is how I feel now:

Carrie: I often wonder where does she find her songs from... but no matter what she sings she's always good. I truly loved to see her in her hometown and home environment. I liked her a lot more with cows, cats and fish than I do when she's competing. She's not so experienced in life but she will learn quickly. I'm sure she would be great as an Idol. And I bet the music she sings appeals to many americans.

Bo - The King of the competition: I didn't like the song much but I hope the voting audience did. Randy nailed it by saying he's A true rockstar. I strongly hope that he will win (though I doubt it.)
I promise to buy his record, he has one of those rare, great, male rock voices that appears maybe twice in a decade, if we're lucky.

Vonzell: I didn't like it at all (I actually got off from the sofa to look where Vieno is) but Randy and Paula loved it. I was wondering if Simon would see the truth about Vonzell's performance and I guess he kinda did. He was sceptic about how it sounded at home and he was right. It didn't sound good, the metal in her voice came through once again, and besides, she didn't know how to sing it correctly. Bad choice for her voice, she should concentrate on r&b and funk.

Anthony: First of all, I loved his parents. As being such a sentimental but still down-to-earth cat as I am it was easy to recognize sincere true love there, not only love to their son but also love to life itself! Anthony's father said: He's not just a dreamer, he's a dream-maker. I'm sure he is and I'm happy for him! He is worse singer than Jessica or Anwar or some others voted out already, but this week, I think, he did a good job. It was his best/second best performance so far.
And I simply must point out that I like Anthony as a person. He's a heartwarming mixture of an young boy and an old soul.

Constantine: First things first... Constantine gave the best performance that night, no matter what the jugdes said!
I don't understand why judges gave him such a hard time. Maybe Randy and Paula are not familiar with the song How you remind me ? He sang it perfectly, he just sang it differently! I've heard that song so many times I could note it even backwords, trust me. To me, it sounded more like second-tune-singing, not as out-of-tune-singing. But anyway, I was very disappointed to all the judges, they didn't recoqnize the perfect song, the perfect voice and the perfect performance.

Scott: His mother said he is Average Joe, heart and soul of America. I'm sure he is and that's why he is still there. He has done a remarkable job only by surviving to the final six. I hope Simon is right and he is the one that will leave, right before Anthony.
