Arrival Story:
I adopted Tigger from the same Cat's Protection centre I got Mitzi from. He was around 12 weeks old when I got him and he had been waiting for 2 or more weeks in a little cage with his grey sister (who already had a home to go too) in a back room along with all the timid or hissy/spitty kittens that hadnt been socialised! I looked at one black an white kitten an he did not like me at all. I looked at Tigger and had a play with him. He seemed ok with me :) He changed when we got home an became hisspy/spitty an more timid an took some time to come round. I'd set a room up just for him to be confined in for a week or so. He stayed in his carrier for 8 hours before I managed to tempt him out, but he hissed when I went near him or 'frightened' him. I didnt even attempt to touch him for a few days. Instead I managed to be-friend him with food. I'd sit closer an closer to his food bowl as he ate (and as the days went by) and then eventually I tickled the top of his head and his shoulders, then I went down his back (the next day) then tried his sides an tummy (the next few days) Now I can pick him up anytime an he comes to me for cuddles an petting! His is still a little timid around strangers though. I would recommend this technique to anyone with a timid kitten or cat tho :) He has come out of his shell tons and doesn't leave my side now!

Meowmy's a bit worried..

...she doesnt think i'm eating a lot. She feeds me 3 times a day but i just about finish 1 pouch off (FOR THE DAY) and when my bowl is refilled there's always left over food from breakfast or dinner. (She doesn't allow me to eat Mitzi's food - cause it makes me poorly anyway) And I do have a little bit of dry but not enough to account for the other 2 pouches whiskas say a kitten my age should have!!
I drink water by the bowlfuls and i poo about 4 or 5 times a day. Meowmy saw a post a few days ago about a kitten that poo'ed frequently an lots of people said it wasn't normal.
I am due to go the vet the end of this week for my next jab, so my meowmy while ask then, but a little bit of info/reassurance for my meowmy please!!

When will things get better??

I thought me and Mitzi were getting on great after we both ate some yummy fish off the same plate and both shared meowmy's bed in peace!!

Recently though, she's swatting me when she sees me an she bullies me to steal my food, meowmy has to either watch us while we eat or move my food somewhere Mitzi wont go.

Its hurting me an making me really irritated. Meowmy is scared that i will get scared of other kitties, cause Mitzi isn't giving me a good experience.

Today i was minding my own business an she swatted me which hurt my nose :'(

Will she ever just give in an realise i'm here to stay?
