Arrival Story:
I am one of Pickles' babies. I was alive around 1966-1967. Catster dates did not go back that far so I show up as 1970. Both my kitty Mom and I died young from distemper. My human sister, loved me and Pickles with all of her heart. Her Mom and Dad would not get any more kitties because they were told distemper stayed in a house for up to 7 years. It was a while before they got Penny. And, when they did, they gave her shots to guard against that horrible thing.
Bio:
Mom wanted to say that the only reason she had the photos of me and my mommy kitty, Pickles, was due to the kindness of a lady that rented a room in the basement of the home that Mom's family owned. Her name was Grace Shaw (RIP). Grace was a single woman who earned her living as a cook at logging camps. Her hobby was photography and she was very good at it. Mom was just a young girl back then but to this day, over 40 years later, Mom is still very thankfull for the pictures that Grace took of me and my kitty Mom Pickles. My photo has a note written on the back from Grace wishing Mom a happy 7th birthday. Grace used to invite Mom and her family to her suite for slideshows of her photos. Mom loved those shows. Grace was still in the suite when Penny came along a few years later. See "Penny" from my family for those stories.

I just want to thank everyone who has given me one of those cakes. We tried to thank everyone personally, but we just cannot keep track! The cakes don't stay in the same order when we go to my page. So we cannot just go down the line and respond to each one. We would end up missing some and thanking some twice! Anyhow, thank you to all my friends and know that it was appreciated.
