Scary men and 11 days to go

11 Days in the countdown. Gosh I'm sure going to miss everyone on Catster. Not to mention daddy and mommy!

Anyways, there was a scary man in the apartment today. He was in the bathroom where my litter box was. He was working on the plumping. I hid under the bed and peeked my eyes out from under the bed skirt to watch him. Sister was very brave, she sat on the sofa and watched him come and go, she didn't even move. I didn't like him. He smelled funny, like an outsider. He didn't belong in my house. Why did the have to get the plumping fixed? They have 2 bathrooms. I mean, I know we have 2 litter boxes but still, why do the people need two bathrooms? Especially if it means scary men in the home. Thankfully, he is gone now. Mommy had to trick me into coming out from under the bed with kitty treats. I didn't eat many, I was still scared. At least mommy was here when he came. Scary scary men.

Day 12 in the Countdown

Last night mommy put out some nom noms and water for the pretty stray kitty. She wants to try to convince her that it is ok to come near here, and build up her strength in case she does get her fixed. She didn't eat much, but it would require staying near our home for a long time. Hopefully she'll be braver in days to come. Also I hope mommy can catch her before she leaves! Otherwise, I guess aunt Courtney will have to keep up the feeding until mommy can come home to deal with it! Thankfully I am doing better though, the zoomies seem to have calmed down recently. Thank goodness. I was really crazy the past few nights.

Mommy spent the whole day on the phone yesterday with Aunt Courtney. She's currently somewhere in the midwest with her boyfriend at Purdue. He's getting his PHD. She will be flying out here soon. Mommy is excited. They lived together in college and haven't seen each other much since they graduated, seeing how they live on separate coasts. I met her once when she came to visit. She was really nice. She has never lived with cats, just dogs, so everything I did amazed her, it was great. I like it when people are impressed with me!

Well I've got to go lay down in a sun spot somewhere until it gets too hot. I'll make sure sister writes in her diary a little before we leave, she's been sleeping too much. She really loves the bed mommy made us, she's barely left it. She's snoring right now. Don't tell her I told you guys that, she'd be mad at me!

Zoomies and Count Downs

Well friends, I have some bad news. In 13 days mommy is going to be off Catster for a while and then for good until August 17th. We have 13 more days to play, then Aunt Courtney moves in for a while and mommy will be busy with that, then she goes to France and no more Catster for us. I'm sure going to miss you all. I'm going to try to post an entry a day until then so we can keep in touch as much as possible!!!

So onto the zoomies. I have been a zoomer at night something fierce the last few nights. Last night I start crying out loud and calling out like crazy too. Mommy had to pick me up and hold me tight until I calmed down. I was keeping my daddy awake and he had to work in the morning! Well today, mommy found out why. She was finishing up a sewing project in the dinning room looking out the window and she saw a stray walk by. Mommy realized she has been opening the windows up at night to get some fresh cool air right before I go crazy and there is a pretty lady stray cat outside. Mommy suspects she must be in heat and I'm getting the scent. Mommy is going to try to see if she can catch this stray and get her fixed. If she is friendly, she'll bring her to the rescue group and adopt her, if not, she'll try to get her fixed anyways to cut down on the kitten population around here if possible. Oh well, at least the mystery is solved. It's the pretty stray's fault, not mine!

I have a whole lot of stuff to say today

It turns out, I have had the absolute crazies recently. I've been running around like a little nut since last night. Mommy thinks all the recent boom booms have put me on edge. Luckily those are all over so hopefully I will start calming down soon.

They sent me a present in the mail, it was fantastic. Mommy checked the mail on the 4th of July and there was a package addressed to me, she was worried I got at her credit cards again! hehehe! I got a new harness in it for walking on my leash and a bunch of mousies which sister thinks are the best mousies in our house! We also got some pipe cleaner twisties, I love those too! I have to say everyone, these are some quality products. I can only imagine how great the beds they make are! I'm so happy that I am friends with these kitties! If mommy ever gets lazy and doesn't want to make us a bed, she's going to buy us a Morgan pet bed! THANK YOU SO MUCH MORGAN AND FAMILY! This was the greatest present I've ever gotten in the mail. Thanks so much! Some super great kitties!

changes...

oh dears, there are lots of changes happening around here. My daddy is going to India soon for business. I don't want my daddy to leave. Daddy is MY DADDY! I loves him. I'm very scared for him to leave. 2 More weeks till he leaves. Then in August, mommy is going to Paris. I'm going to be alone with sister... well, and Aunt Courtney. I'm still really scared though. What should you do when your parents leave? I'm so nervous. I'm a very people needy cat. What am I going to do?

New Cat Bed!!!

Mommy finally finished the new cat bed she has been making! It is HUGE, both sister and I can sleep in it together. She is now working on a patchwork mat for me to sleep on in front of the patio doors. My favorite place to snooze in the sun! It is made of the left over fleece from the bed, as well as froggy fleece, and pretty stripe fleece! I can't wait. She has all the pieces cut out and sewn together for the top, she just has to finish the bottom. She and daddy went to a baseball game today though, they saw the RIVER CATS! YAHOOOO WE WON!!! That was pretty great! Too bad she couldn't finish the mat for me though. I guess she will tomorrow! Happy River Dance!

Oh my Cat!!! Life is GREAT!!!

Oh wow everybody, I know it is really late, and mommy is on her way to bed, but she is just so proud of me and so happy for me, she had to tell everyone! I'm a Daily Diary Pick! Isn't that great? I was the diary of the day a few months ago and now I'm a diary pick of the day! Someone must really love my diary! Thanks Catster! I know there are some problems right now, but I'm really happy to be here right now and really happy that I'm a diary pick today!

Let's see, there was other stuff too. I got an invite to a great group for Mancats and I now have a super cute picture of myself with my Mancats hard hat on! My friend Pigeon is going to make me a 4th of July picture! I'm so excited! I'm also getting a furr effort award from my friend Willow and her family! (She lives with the pirate kitty! hehehe)!!!

Could life be going any better for a kitty like me right now? Mommy is also working on my new cat bed, me and sister finally let her cut out enough fabric to make it. Good thing she bought so much extra, there is still plenty to snooze on in blanket form! I know there is other good stuff, but I'm just so excited right now I can't think of it all. Thank you so much catster and kitty friends out there! I loves you all!

P.S. despite all the bad stuff and talks going on throughout Catster, mommy is thinking of getting a Catster plus account so she can upload all the great new pictures of me my friends have made and so she can upload all the silly pictures she has taken recently. I've been on a silly kick recently and she has dozens!

Oh nose, naughty River toes!!!

Oh well, mommy though for sure I had broken everything in the house I could and what was left was safe... so wrong mommy, so wrong.

I jumped up on the dinner table last night and flopped down as I so often do, on the table runner and great big candle at the center. Well... this time, wouldn't you know it, that big candle didn't stay up. It has a glass case surrounding it and the whole thing came toppling down and exploded, sending glass shards EVERYWHERE. Mommy came running and saw what I had done. I got really scared and ran. Of course, she was more worried about me, don't you know. She caught me and flipped me over to check my 'baby feet' to make sure there was no glass in them, then she locked up sister and me in the bedroom and cleaned the whole front of the house to make sure there was no glass anywhere. She was a little disappointed because she really liked the candle dish, but luckily the great big candle and the bottom metal holder came out fine and it can still sit on the table, just no more glass. Probably better this way. Poor mommy, she thought for sure the glass was too thick for me to ever break, and for over a year, she was right. Too bad she had to lose to my crazy toes in the end!

I guess to punish me today Mommy and Daddy gave me a bath. I know. Ick. Daddy thought I had too much dandruff and it was giving him allergies and mommy is concerned that I have too much fuzz and get too hot. Lucky me. They bathed me. Now I'm all wet and sister is helping to dry me off. I will have to go lay in my favorite sun spot and look offended about this. Humph! Not fair, all I did was break a candle holder!
