My 'new' bed!

Hi kitties!

So... to years ago mommy entered a picture of me into a contest online. You can see the picture in my photobook somewhere. The picture came in 2nd place for the kitties, if I had been first place I would have had a professional photographer come and take my picture and my handsome face would have gone up on a great big billboard to advertise a pet boarding facility in the area. Since I came in second though I won a gift card to the store. Mommy took it and bought me a really special tempurrrrrpedic pet bed that we never could have afforded otherwise.

That was two years ago though kitties! After two whole years I never seemed to take to the bed. Mommy was disappointed because it was a very expensive bed and she thought it was very comfortable looking and super duper big. Well, the other night she got an idea. She has noticed I don't like pet beds unless they have a side on them for me to rest my chin on and she didn't think I liked the fabric that was covering the bed. So she went and bought a super soft fuzzy fleece fabric with cute cherries on it, cut out the soft bed stuff from the icky fabric it was in, and sewed me a new bed with great big stuffed sides so I can curl up in it.

Guess what? I'm so happy with the new bed! I LOVES it! I have barely left the bed since mommy finished it! This is the best new pet bed! Mommy was so right, it's so comfy! Can you believe I didn't know this great bed was in my own house for all this time? I don't believe it's the same bed... I think it's a new bed... this can't be the same icky old bed! I'm going to have to invite sister to come snuggle with me on this great big comfy new bed! I don't think she knew it existed either!

WOW, A brand new bed, that is pawsome, River.
Mommy has told us in the past that things made at home are better than buying at the store sometimes, like the wonderful catnip heart that your mommy made me.

That is so true Riley! I can't remember which kitty's page but I remember somefur talking about how they were sure that the kitties in their family knew when something was handmade with love by a friend and that they loved it more! I think this is true. My favorite toys are the ones mommy makes me and the ones my catster friends or family members send me. Mommy can't believe how much I love the bed now that she has modified it to my needs herself. It's the best bed in the world now! Mommies can make everything better!

DA TABBIES are right - extra features can be nice like the snak tray and the pockets for the remote and the kit-tv-guide. Glad you're lovin' it now! Your pawrents are pawsum!!! Luv, Tink

I think your "old" bed just needed your Mommy's touch. I bet that fuzzy fleece fabric is super comfy. I hope you post a photo of it, I'd like to see what it looks like!
