It is so hot out kitties. It was 106 degrees today. That's way too hot when you are a Maine Coon fuzzy. This summer was so mild for where we live, we only had a few weeks of 100+ weather. Then we had a nice long run of mild weather where it wasn't so bad but yesterday, it was 105 and today, it's 106. This is way too hot for me. I can't even think straight.'

Mommy's been filling our water bowls and dropping ice cubes like crazy, but I'm just laying in the middle of the living room on my back with my belly in the air and all my fuzzies neatly spread so that I can get air to my skin. Why can't we turn the sun off? Even with the AC going, it's still so hot. It's too hot mommy! I'm dead mommy. So dead. So hot. So dead. Bury me with nom noms ok?

I am sorry you are so hot. It was like that here too last week, too hot, even with AC, it was still hot and muggy! It has been a little better in NC this week though thank goodness. Hope you get some relief from the heat furry soon!

OMC, don't even joke about being dead, River! I know what you mean, though. It was 103 degrees here yesterday and today it's 93 (much better). Still too hot, bring on the cooler weather please! What in the world do the poor kitties do who live outside do? They must be miserable!

Sorry you have to be so uncomfortable, but even in Maine it gets very hot at times!
If your furs get dampened and you sit by a fan, does that help you cool off, somewhat?
Maybe you need an hot water bottle, filled with icecubes to make a cold nesting pad. Or a cold pack wrapped in a thin towel.
We are having nice cool temps here right now...at 1030 pm, edst it is 63 degrees. All our windows are open, and we hope to keep them open tomorrow, too.

You sound like Mommy Holes in the Head. This has been a hot summer for us on LI (in the 90s) and all she is doing is complaining that she is dying from the heat instead of her brain lesions. We can't wait for summer to be over so she shuts up!

We're in the same boat River! It's been over 100 for weeks! Mommy says she can't wait for cooler weather and fall! Hope it gets cooler where you are too! Paws crossed!
