Hello kitties,
Leave A Comment | 24 people already have We would say...take her in, and fur a while after that, watch the lost and found ads, and look on nearby poles where some peeps might post flyers about their lost pet. Grocery stores also sometimes have boards where people post things like that. Also the shelters may have calls inquiring about lost pets being in there or not. If she is that purrty and furendly, then she deserves a wonderfur home to show off her beauty and purrsonality. And to get real love! Well those are our thoughts... Hope it works out...what a shame if something bad would happen to her. Purrs! We agree with WeBeesSiamese. Mom says that if they seem to be happier with your family and whoever owns/owned them before doesn't seem to care about their pet, then leave the decision up to the kitty. Sometimes they might not be happy where they were and like it better at your home. That's where our Double Dipper came from. Mom is pretty sure what house he came from but he likes it better at ours. Many kitties somehow seem to rehome themselves and maybe it's survival if they know they will be treated better elsewhere. If it gets to the point where you make a vet visit you could always check for a chip to see if kitty has one. Mom says animals just seem to know what's best for them. We hope kitty becomes part of your loving family. He couldn't have picked a better place to hang out at! Keep us posted! Hugs and purrs, Simon & Reuben(an angel) Sobe,Bent Ear & Mouse all decided to stay with us(Sobe practically broke the door down to get in). I say take her in if she wants to come in(B.E. is still afraid to come in). If she has a family who cares, they'll be looking for her. Mom would take her to the local shelter to be scanned, then check to see if there are any "lost" reports for her. If not, take her in and keep your eye out for "lost" flyers on her. If anything comes up with owners, tell them you took her in because of the dangerous traffic. Then you'll find out what her real situation is. From there, you'll be able to make informed decisions. She is a beauty!! Luv, Tink That's how Kahless came to live with us. He did let us pick him up. After a few months, none of the other neighbors wanted him as an inside cat. So we took him to the vets and had him checked to see if he was chipped. He wasn't, but he had been fixed. So we got his shots and had him checked for other things and than he came inside to live with us. We did find out that a few doors down the road, someone had moved about the same time everyone started seeing Kahless. We think it might have been their cat. In other words they just put him out and left him. We love our Kahless. Have a great day. Love, Kibbles, Francis, Yoda & The Crew I was gonna say EXACTLY what Tink just said. Get her scanned, I'd say even put up flyers saying cat found. And then take it from there. I think Sobe & Bent Ear were abandoned too. Bent Ear is a neutered male & very friendly,& Sobe knew all about the litterbox when he moved in. He may even have lived in our trailer before we moved in,maybe that's why he was so determined to come inside? Why would anyone abandon such nice cats? My next door neighbor's daughter got her cat, Sneekers, that way. He was just a kitten and the winter was on its way. Her mom won't let her have the cat in the house so I helped her out by allowing Sneeks stay in our cellar. He stayed there all winter long and she would sneek him into her bedroom at night. Her mother knew but she didn't let on. I would take him in and look for flyers as others have commented....Take care...you have a good heart... All of the above is great answers. I think your right about the owners if there is a family. IRRESPONSIBLE! We have a few of those around here too. Just dogs with collars on running up and down our street. "Leash Laws people". Take her in. She shouldn't be out in the storms. I agree with everyone above! I was a kitty that looked well cared for because I was a good begger and knew where the best trash was.I was very happy to be adopted - even if I was pregnant! Sounds like ths kitty is asking to come to you. My mom had a kitty do that once. He just moved in, made himself at home. She did not make him stay, he chose to stay. We were picked. You've been picked, too. Good idea to check for chips just in case. I would say to take her in. She deserves a good loving home like yours. Yous just described Socks, Gypsy, ands Kringle!!! ( Patches and Panda were thrown out, Mees and Squeaker were adopted, Wees were 1st) I's agrees with Weebeessiamese!!! I tink, truthfully, that your mommy should take her in. It sounds as though no one cares about her or where she goes or what she does. Mommy worked at an animal adoption place for so many years. One of the cats that came before us and went to the bridge...mommy had him til he was about 21....well, he was a cat that sounds like this kitty...til one day he got hit by a car going fast and someone bought him into the shelter/vet. He made it and mommy took him home and he lived for a long time with mommy. But it was sad-he should not have had to live like that outside most of the time. I say save the kitty and help her....because her family doesn't care if she's neglected this way. We agree with everybody else~ if you can, take her in, she couldn't find a better home than yours. xoxoxo Tasha I agree!! Its too dangerous for her to be wandering the streets. Hugs, Julius It sure would be nice if your Mommy can offer fluffy black girl shelter from the heat and storms. It is so sad that pet owners can be so irresponsible. You guys have hearts of gold to help kitties in need. Love, Natasha We agree with Tink. Go get her scanned for a chip and check if anyone has reported her missing. If not, see if you might be able to integrate her into the house. Thank you kitties for all your advice. She's such a friendly kitty. She lets mommy pick her up and hold her and snuggle her every time she sees her. Some days we don't see her, but we know she hangs out here. River sits by the door when she's on the other side and every day ALL the nom noms are gone. Since she often shows up at 1am sometimes on weekdays we miss her. There are days though where she spends all day here. She hangs out on our door way all day long. We can't get over the fact that it's over 100 these past few days and she's been out, during the thunderstorms she was out when there was no way to know when another one would start. She looks well taken care of, but she shouldn't be out like this... I know we don't have to tell you this but please get her checked before bringing her inside with River especially seeing as how he has FIV. You don't want to risk anything health wise that can't be seen on the outside of her, affecting him in any way. If she's got a clean bill of health and it's nothing that would affect him, then voila! New kitty! Oh boy, I home Moe Moe toes doesn't get too mad. She's the queen of the house. MMMRRRAATT. Darn straight Lacey! MRAT!!! I'm the Princess! Are you coming to Finney's pawty? It's a big combo pawty getting bigger by the minute! We can sing in our girl band Simone! MMRRAATTT, MMMRRATTT, MMMMRRATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT Simone, our neighbors next door had the cutest Pitt Bull Puppy. I'll post a pic of him playing with Diamond. Mom, Diamond and Zoe used to hate storms come up and scare him. He would just cry and cry. It would bug Mom so much, she always wanted to run out there and bring him in. He even chewed a hole into the side of our garage so he could get out of the rain and play with Diamond. Long story short, we had a pack of wild dogs move in our neighborhood a year ago. One night, Mom heard Cane fitting another dog outside. Remember, Cane was just a pup, maybe 8 months old at the time and chained up to, on top of that. The next day, Mom seen the Dad with Cane on his leash putting him in his truck. Mom had told Dad to tell the neighbors about the fight. She told Dad three times earlier that day. Mom told Dad she hoped Cane was going to be okay cause she assumed he was going to the vets. Wrong! In Canes state of being riled up that morning and Dad being to busy to make a phone call (yeah right) Cane had bitten their son that morning when the kid went to feed him and not understanding the situation, they gave him away. Later on, Mom told them about the fight. They said they didn't hear it which is possible cause it was Diamond and Zoe that woke up Mom so she heard it. And was able to run the other dogs of from across the fence. Once she told them they understood why he bit their son. They said it wasn't even a bad bite, it just spooked the son. Because they didn't have proper housing for the dog aka a fence and Dad not calling like he said he would, Mom has a hole in her heart. A wonder what happen to him kinda hole. Mom was mad at Dad for awhile after that. Dad used to think Mom made a too big of a deal about things, I think he has know learned to listen now. Hi Simone, Both my brothers Buddy Angel and Bob came to live with Mom and Dad the same way. They picked Mom and Dad to be their people. :) It sounds like Fluffy Black Girl has chosen your family. I agree with getting her health checked out first before introducing her to your family. It's always a good idea and being the River is FIV+ it's even more important. Best of luck with your new family member! Love, Tigger Tigger, Mom believes we pick our people too. She's funny, she watches for the animal that's content with her and then she knows. |
