Well it's been a while and all the great nom noms everyone gave me have seemingly been vanishing. I guess I must be eating them or something, I don't know.
There have been a few changes in my life recently, some good, some not so good.
Mommy is giving up on the diet more or less. I became so stressed out while I was on it that she decided that wasn't healthy for me either. She and the vet talked it over and have decided that it would probably be better for me to be a little over weight than highly stressed out. She is going to make a few food adjustments to see if that helps, but otherwise, she's not going to fight me being a little bit of a fatty. I like this change.
For food changes, mommy has put me on the wellness food now. She started adding the wet food in again, I love wet food. I was on some icky dry food, now it's all about the wet food. I can't eat the real gushy food that comes in cans though. My tummy is too sensitive for that kind, so mommy feeds me the pouches which have chunks of meat in them. I love this! No tummy problems for me!
Mommy and Daddy are also stress testing me to see if I can take in a new brother or not. I REALLY am not wild about this idea. I mean, seriously? ANOTHER brother? Do we REALLY need two of them running around? Mommy says we do. Go figure. She bought me a new kitty bed to replace all the old ones I destroyed while I was stressed out. I've been very good to this one. I guess that means there may be a new brother on the horizon some day soon. I don't know...
Oh yeah, mommy also bought me a new collar.
it has a bell on it
I can't sneak up on anyone anymore
I don't like this.
I mean, the collar is pretty and girly and pink and just like me, and it is brand new. But a bell? Mommy calls me her jingle bell now. She says I was sneaking up on her when she was writing too much and then jumping and landing claw first in her lap and causing her to have heart attacks, mommy gets pretty focused when she writes. Now I can't do that, she hears me coming and isn't surprised when I jump. This is no fun at all. She better make River wear one too. humph!

My furbros from the past, had bells on their collars, too...but when the first unfurbro came home...off came the bells...because they were always waking up the babies...MOL!!
Now the collarless situation continues! YAH!
If a new kitty comes in and the intros are relaxed, slow and not forced...you will soon be so curious about the newcomer, you will want to make furends...maybe even be a matron to it! MOL! That happened with the 1st kitty meowmy had, He was the 'daddy' and later 'grand-daddy' to 3 newcomers. It is possible!
Mama bought me a collar with a bell on it, but it drives ME, crazy, not her. I just refuse to wear it and she is scared I am going to break my teeth trying to bite it off. I don't care for collars at all, bells or no bells. I hope you continue to eat okay with your food and not being as stressed. Just take it slow if you get a new brofur, I am sure you will both love each, it will just take a little time!
Hugz and purrs, Sassy
I have heard meowmy say that one of my furbears got his whole lower jaw caught in a belled collar. Scary. So the kitty should be used to the collar without a bell before using one with a bell, so that in the attempts to be rid of it, accidents don't happen. Meowmy wonders what would have happened if she hadn't been there to see it and take care of it right away!
Diet Schmiet! You weigh the same as me and I don't need to be on a diet - MOL! So I'm glad your mom has seen the light and realizes you look PURRfect!
Purrs & Hugs,
We are so glad you are feeling better Simone. Having brofurs around is not that bad, we think we are cool. Enjoy your new food and chillaxe.
