Arrival Story:
Pika was actually adopted as a Valentine's gifts for our other cat. She was adopted using Petfinder.com from a local foster-based rescue group named CASA. We were told she had been abandoned in a trailer when her owner was sent to a nursing home. Apparently Pika's former owner had left the momma cat and 6 kittens in the care of his daughter who neglected and likely abused them. By the time the neighbors complained of the smell several cats were dead and Pika was skin and bones and had suffered a head serious head injury. Months later when we adopted her she still looked a little ragged but that didn't last long.
Bio:
Pika is the perfect second cat. She is a purebred lapcat who wants nothing more than to cuddle with mom . . .or any suitable substitute. She is really not bright but is clearly one of the happiest animals I have ever met. She has a goofy comical nature that makes her seem like a live action Japanese cartoon. She has been such a comfort to everybody in the family, especially her furry "sister."

Problems with Nature's Variety Raw Rabbit??
Peekaboo is one of the sweetest cats I have ever met, but she tends to be a little timid of loud things or new situations. She has an insecure type of personality and relies on her people to comfort her. Peekaboo's signature move is "Hop Sing" where she jumps up on her hind legs and arches forward while "singing." Pika is also one of the only cat's I have met how has allergies. These include most grains, vaccines, and envirnmental causes. It has been a battle to keep her comfortable and sane as she like to lick until she is red and bald in spots. We are currently seeking better treatments for her.

This E collar sucks. Mommy says it will get better and she let me out to watch TV with her for an hour or so a night, but really sucks. Daddy laughed at me today when I had to back into the litterbox. i think he wouldn't find it so funny if I scoop the litter up with the cone and spilled it all over.
Tonight was venison night which is my favorite dinner. Because of the allergies there are only a few things I can eat. I also really like the bunnies!

So mom is feeling pretty crazy about typing this for me but it at her wits end with caring for me and just has to "write it all out."
The doctors tell me I have allergies and TBI. I am not sure what that means exactly but Mommy has been trying all these funny things to get me to stop licking myself bald and bloody.
For the last couple weeks I have been on this new food (again) and wearing this soft sided E collar. It started out OK but I am now becoming depressed and moping. Mommy is trying to let me out of it for an hour or so a day supervised so I can at least bathe. the concern is right now that I am losing weight (and I am only 7 pounds to begin with) and just not 100%.
I have to say that Mommy and Daddy have both been treating me extra special ad trying to make me feel betteer but I look so stupid and Gabby has been picking on me too. It is not fair when she jumps me and I can't see her coming!
