I am not his guardian -- my ex's mother is. But it was I who, when he was about 3-4 months old, trapped him on the campus of the school where I work, took him home, and spent days taming and gentling him. I became very attached to him during this process, and so I was very glad when my former MIL decided she wanted him, because I know he is spoiled rotten where he is.

Here's the trick to taming feral kittens: grab the nape of the neck like its mother would do. It works like a charm! This is what I did with Blackberry.
