Update on a hot day!

I had to wake Dad up at 7:30 to feed us by licking his ear. He is supposed to feed us at 5:15, but since he has been out of work, he has gotten lazy.

Since I was last here, and it has been a while, I have a new sibling, her name is Chessie. She is named after the kitten on the Chesapeake railroad logo from the 1930's (dad is real old). She will be getting a page here soon.

I would like to thank all who wished me well as winner of COTD. It is a real honor especially since I have not been active for a while. I will try and do better, and make my Meowmy and Dad log on more often.

Thank you Frankie for the lovely picture you made just for me. I asked Dad to save it, and he said he would. I might show it to some other furry friends.

It is real hot today, at least for me, so I have been laying by the a/c all day. I did jump up on the bed to supervise Meowmy as she wrote this diary entry. Now, I am going to take a nap, it is very tiring doing all the supervising. Mew, mew

Bad week

Mom and Dad are having a really bad week, and me and my sister Aggie are trying not to get too stressed out. Friday Mom got a call that her godsons grandma died and then this morning Dad got a call that his brother in law passed away. Poor Dad is also dealing with looking for a job, he was laid off in December.

My sister and I are tyring to comfort Mom and Dad, yet we start to get all stressed out too! I think Mom noticed this because she made us warm chicken broth for lunch today-we love it, and Mom says it is not bad for us. I wish she would have given me some roast chicken, that is my favorite. My sister loves chocolate ice cream.

Can you believe it, Aggie got an invitation to join a club for blackies! Why does she always get to have fun?

Well, I need to go to the potty box, so meeooww for now!
