Arrival Story:
We had moved to the Navajo Reservation in a remote area of N. AZ, where my husband taught, and adopted Sargee, our Dobie. He'd only been with us a few weeks when "Baby Kitty" started coming around. He would bark at any other "Rez" dogs to protect her. One day she came in and they've been best friends since. She was quite the brave kitten. We ended up naming her LuLu after Lou Dobbs, coz she's soo independent. Recently we relocated back to Las Vegas and she really seems happy, now that she knows how much she means to all of us, not just to Sargee. She is such a sweetie!

Bio:
LuLu is about as smart as Sargee, coz she's picked up his commands. She actually goes on walks with me and Sargee. She's pretty laid back and nothing really bothers her or scares her.

LuLu has taken over Sargee's bed, guess it's a king size to her. She sleeps wherever she wants, usally there. They do sleep together on the couch or in their room. She will have a rude awakening when the Tortie I just rescued has her kittens. Yes, someone moved away and left her, declawed & pregnant. Will post profile on her later once I get to know her better and get some pics.

How I came to live with a Doberman

Mysti is alright by me

I guess having Mysti around isn't too bad. She finally came out of the bedroom yesterday & walked right by me, while I was in Sargee's bed. She's kind of a 'fraidy cat but I can tolerate that. I don't like it when mama squirts me w/the water gun, so I've backed off hissing and laying-in-wait for Mysti. Luckily, Sargee isn't as interested in her now as he was when she wasy "hiding out" in mama's bedroom. As long as I know I'm still his favorite kitty 'll be happy.

How I came to live with a Doberman

I was very little, living on the Navajo Reservation, in teacher housing in N. AZ. Mama thinks a teacher had me, then moved away & left me. My back left leg was hurt when I started coming around their house. Sargee, the Dobie, would bark to keep the "rez. dogs" off me, & I'd hide under mama's jeep. Mama would feed me chicken & rice, tuna & milk. One day I decided to come in w/Sargee. The next day I was hiding under the couch while they got ready to go to N. Nevada for vacation (yea, Sargee went too). They looked for me but couldn't find me, so I was alone for a week. Luckily mama had made me a potty box. The only food I had was a little bit of Sargee's kibble, his water & a loaf of bread I found on top of the micro. When they got back, they saw I'd grown--a kitty CAN live on bread & water & a bit of dog kibble. They felt bad for leaving me, but I decided it was a good home & stayed anyway.

The next week we all drove to Kayenta, AZ where the mobile vet was. I got spayed & Sargee got neutered. They braced my back leg & it got well. So I started taking walks w/Sargee & mama, down by the horses. I loved to pester Sargee by jumping up on the corral, where he would chase me & I'd taunt him--he loved it (& so did I).

Recently we moved to Las Vegas NV, where mama used to live. I can still roam a little. I know they really love me coz they didn't leave me behind. Now I'm more loveable to them and stay closer to home.
A few weeks ago I went on a walk with them, & mama found out about an abandoned, declawed & very pregnant kitty. She took my carrier & said the kitty walked right into it. She was very hungry! At first I thought I wanted to be the only kitty, but now it's ok...guess her other people left her like my other people left me. The babies haven't come yet & mama thinks they will very soon. We named her Mysti & Sargee loves her, but not as much as he loves me!!

Mama pet sits and sometimes the pets comes here. I dont' mind & it can be fun, especially with dogs--I can taunt them & Sargee still protects me. If you want to see more pics of me & Sargee (& a few of Mysti) go to: http://caring4critters.weebly.com
