I would like to take a moment to salute some of the VICs (VeryImportantCats) I have met on Catster. I like to consider them as members of my coalition, the "United Nations of Cats."
I am extremely pleased to announce that her majesty, Princess Khai Lei, has very recently joined me in friendly relations. She is an innovative kitty-princess from Kentucky, who has done ground-breaking research in the area of "unusual toys" such a binder clips and wine corks. Meows to you, Princess Khai! I am sure she welcomes all visitors to her page where you may see her full bio and intimate diaries.
I've been reivewing some of the other cats in my "United Nations of Cats". I have to say it is a stunning & impressive delegation. Here is a mention of just a few VIC's that are on the roster:
Two interesting cats in my coalition are Sammy from Iowa and Ella in Pennsylvania. Both these cats hold rule over dryer territories. I consider them both pioneers. I love visiting their bio pages. These cats are characters.
Two other frontier pioneers are Marty from ON, Canada and Riesling from NS, Canada. These cats hold court in a sink. Sink sitting is not just a Canadian thing, though. I have built a friendly connection with Chaos, from Warwick RI. Chaos is another coalition member who carries out duties from the sink (and tub!). Each one of these cats make me smile.
Then there's Hal, in Texas, whose throne is a comfy looking leopard bed. He's a sweetie.
There's Monday from http://www.catanna.com, Tuesday from Maryland, and Wednesday from Brooklyn, NY. Each one appears to be named for the day of the week over which they rule. I suspect these 3 rule every other day of the week as well, but to include each day of the week in their name would become too cumbersome . I love these cats!
There's a family in Seaside, CA. that I am happy to have on board. They are Smudge, Sissel, and Smokey.
I have to give respect to another Smokey, the Maine Coon cat who hails from Palm Beach County, Fl. Smokey is a reading cat, and she has been captured in a snapshot while enjoying a good book. Love it!
And Princess. Princess is from Los Angeles California. She is a gorgeous Norweigan Forest Cat. And a Princess. What more needs to be said?
Of course, princess's do make friends with princes and Prince Michi Dermont of Hudson, Fl. has become a friend of mine. You should check him out. He is super!
Iggy Natius and Soddie D. are international members of my coalition, hailing from Ireland. They are two very cool Irish cats. Another international friend is Nelly, from Singapore.
Riley, in San Jose, CA, is in my coalition. Riley shares the same taste in collars as I do. Love that! Riley and his family have huge coalitions. Huge! These cats are diplomatic dignitaries! They are all quite gorgeous creatures, too!
Speaking of diplomatic dignitaries, who doesn't know Cassie & Doogie? These two cats have a mind-boggling assembly of associates, and I am proud to say that I am among them. As everyone probably already knows, their royal photographer has done a beautfiul job of showcasing their charm.
There are just too many cats in my "United Nations of Cats" for me to make note of all of them here. But, they are all on the roster found on my "Kitty Page" under "Friends." I appreciate them all. There are so many wonderful cats out there, all of whom are special in their own way. I do look forward to meeting many more VIC's as the days go by.
Best wishes to all. Princess Zoe

Oh, you should see me now. Meow!
To begin, I am growing in leaps in bounds. From weighing a meager 1 lb. when I was brought to my doman late July, to a vigorous 7.5 lbs today. I am in fine physical form to assume royal duties, I would say.
My mind is growing, too. I am mastering the art of communiction through both voice and body language. I have quite an expressive meow, and am learning exactly when and how best to use it. I've also discovered that on many occassions a meaningful facial expression works equally well, if not better, than a meow. These are good skill-sets for a cat in charge. I'm honing mine very quickly. I'm a quick-study kitty.
I'm really getting to know the provinces in my empire. Many of the provinces such as Counter-Top, Shelf-Top, Desk-Top, Stove-Top, and Table-Top are forbidden lands. But I am a princess and I feel it my duty to get to know all areas of my domain equally in order to be an effective ruler. I plan on continuing visits to the Top-Lands as I see fit, despite any protests from some of the (human) citizens.
It's important that a head-of-state have a mentor, and I believe I have found a perfect one for myself. Her name is Princess Aiko of Japan. She's a human princess and stands to become the first female heir to take over the Chrysanthemum Throne in over 200o years if a new law is written in Japan allowing for a female to succeed to the throne. It's been nothing but a succession of male heirs heading the Japanese Imperial Family up to this point. If the law is passed to allow Princess Aiko to sit on the throne, of course she'll have to grow a bit and have some formal education & training. Princess Aiko is young (3 years old). Myself, I'm 7 months old. But cats mature much more quickly than humans. Using a cat-to human age conversion chart, I am somewhere around the equivalent of 10 to 11 human years old. My mentor, Princess Aiko, may have to wait a bit to take over. As for me--I'm already ready to rule, I'd say.
Princess Aiko is my mentor because her story is a lot like mine. Before I came along, it had been nothing but male dominance in the land I have come to live in. There's never, ever, been a female cat in this land. Ever. Until me. I believe that is why I am pampered and fussed over so. Both Princess Aiko and I are landmark females conquering a male dominated & male oriented world. Girl power. Yeah!
I am busy, yes, with organizing and revising the Charter of my land. But, I am also still a kitten. So, I just have to tell you that I'm really, really excited. I got several new toys yesterday. A very cool little decked out mouse with feathers & a bell on its' tail, and some more "Cat Crazies" plastic ring toys. Very Meowzie!
Best wishes to all, Princess Zoe

This is very thrilling. Being the youngest of the house, I am constantly hearing "Age before beauty" from the other cats. Thanks to Catster and Kitten Week, that has been reversed in this household (at least for this week).
To join in the celebration of Kitten Week on Catster, the adult cats of the home have been duly advised that I will be allowed to write in my diary throughout the week whenever I want. All week, they have to step aside and make room for me. I don't have to hear any of that "age before beauty" gibberish from those guys all week long. Meow!! Viva La Fiesta! Here's to Kitten Week!
Best wishes to all & you will hear from me again soon!! Princess Zoe
