Rain rain go away

We have had rain all day long and it's supposed to rain all week. What's up with all this rain? I bet one of my friends sent us this wet stuff. I hope you got some of our typical sunshine. At least the rain is a break from all that sunshine we get, and it made it cooler for us. Thank you whoever sent this wet stuff our way. Rain is great catnapping weather because there are no birdies to watch. I guess I'll dream about them little birdies.

I've been bitten by the Love Bug

I'm mostly quiet but can be very vocal, especially at the birdies.

I love to lay in my mommy's bed and watch the birdies and watch my mommy type for me.

I do not like strangers at all. I hide from them. If I get to know the person then I don't mind them in my house as long as they dont stay too long.

I love my family, except Spice, I just deal with her and show her who's boss on occasion.

Another Vet Visit

I was minding my own business when my momcat stuck me in that bad portable prison and took me to the vet place. He looked at my wound and said it was healing well. I don't have to have any more of those warm rag treatments or antibiotic flushes. He said it is healing and will fall off on it's own. My momcat gave me treats when we got home for being such a good boy, not at the vet's, for not licking my wound. I'm so happy I don't have to wear that cone again. WOOHOO, I think I'll take a long cat nap to celebrate.

Vet visit today

Yesterday when my momcat came home from work she noticed my cone had come undone and was just flopping around. She took off my cone and fed us. By the time she got back to me, I had already licked the scab off. She just watched me to see if I would like it all the time and I didn't so she left it off.

This morning I went to the vet and he said it was looking good. He gave my momcat some antibiotic flush to put in my wound twice a day. This is no fun at all. First she has to put a warm compress on it then flush the wound. As long as I don't lick my wound I can keep my cone off. So far I have been real good at not licking. I do not want that ugly cone on again.

Bugsy even layed next to me and didn't run away. I love life with out being a cone head. Simba is even being nicer to me. I hope I don't have to have that cone on again. I go back to the vet next Tuesday for a check up. I sure hate the vet.

My Life as a Conehead

Today is day four of wearing this ugly cone. I am getting used to it. I still hate it but it does have it's advantages. My momcat brings me food in bed. She holds the can so I can eat. I get to eat wet food anytime I want to. My fur sibs are all scared of it so they run and hide. Only that Abby is bothering me. She follows me around and likes to sniff my cone. When my momcat came home from work this morning only Abby, Tutti and I greeted her at the door for food. The others all hid from me. That was nice not to be bothered. I get all the loving and petting I want. I get my momcat's undivided attention. I have the bed all to myself. Now that I don't have to take that pain medication, I am walking around more and annoying Bugsy and Simba. That is lots of fun. I have my momcat wrapped around my paws. I even learned how to scratch my bootie. I scooted around the carpet like a dog. Life as a conehead isn't that bad after all.

I go back to my vet on Monday. I wonder if I can get this cone off my head so my crown will fit again? I sure hope so.

I'm home from the hospital

My momcat came and got me from that bad vet hospital. I had an infected anal gland. I was okay in my carrier until my momcat put me in the car. I have this big ugly collar on and when I knew I was in her car, I tried to knock it off. I made the carrier fall to the floor. I hate this collar but my momcat said I have to wear it so I don't lick my puss wound. I'm too mad to even eat. How can I eat with this thing on? I have pain medication for 3 days and antibiotics for 7 days. My momcat is going to be home with me all day long. Thank you all so much for caring about me. I'm going to take a much needed catnap in my favorite window.

I'm in the hospital

I haven't been feeling well. Tonight my momcat noticed a big wound with puss pouring out of it. She took me to the emergency vet hospital. The vet lady said I had blocked anal glands and they had become infected. They had to clean them out. My mommy left me here at this terrible place. I have to stay here all night long with an IV after the cleaning. Then I get to take yucky medications when I get home in the morning. Purr for me, I sure need it right now.

My Kingdom is back to normal

Yesterday I was snoozing in my favorite cradle when all of a sudden a noise from the roof broke my sleep. It sounded like a freight train on top of me. I kept trying to wake my momcat, but she was sound asleep. Finally she woke up and heard the noise. She made a call and a man came over and climbed on to the roof of my kingdom. He told her the A/C motor was bad. He couldn't get the parts as it was too late in the day. If she had only woken up earlier it could have been fixed. Then she went to work and left us in my hot house all night long. She was at work enjoying the cool air and we were suffering the heat in my kingdom. It has been 105 lately, way to hot to be without my A/C. The man came back today and fixed it. It was a miserable 18 hours of heat. I am much happier now that my kingdom is cool.
