Arrival Story:
Hi there! My name is Tucker. A very nice lady Mom works with found me starving on someone's front porch. Apparently, I was trying so hard to nurse from another cat who wasn't my momma, but she kept scratching me to fight me off of her. I was so hungry I kept going back trying to get her to let me eat. So the very nice lady took really good care of me that weekend and brought me to work with her on Monday morning. As soon as Mom heard there was a kitty at work, she had to come see me... and that was that! She took me in and bottle fed me, and slept with me on the bed with the lights on so she wouldn't roll on me for weeks. She also took me to work with her every day until I was about eight months old, and they finally said no pets allowed at work. Boo! So now I hang out with my doggy brother Henley while Mom is working.

Bio:
I love new experiences! For example, I like traveling to new places. Mom has taken me to the beach and the mountains- boy is that fun! I go to the park to play sometimes, and I like to tease my brother Henley. I love to play with my bunny sister, Olive, as well as my Uncles Fred and Buckley, my Gramma's two terrier mixes who adore me! I know when Mom gets out my leash and harness that we are going to do something fun!! I love everyone, and have never met a stranger. In fact, when I go to the park or beach, I usually chase after strangers in hopes they will stop and pet me, which they usually do. They are usually so baffled to see a kitty on the beach! I also love when Mom has parties or has company over; she brings her friends over just to see ME!! So I put on a show and make sure to show her guests lots of attention. I really am quite the ham! Overall, I am a laid back kitty with a sunny disposition who loves car rides, boat rides, playing outside on my leash, and chasing little insects that make the mistake of coming in my house. Mom is so happy to have me, and she tells me all the time how much I mean to her. I am such a good boy; I even sit for treats!!!

A Day in the Life of Tucker

Borrring!!

Well, Mom got a new job, and apparently they don't think cats at work is such a great thing. So now, I spend the day lounging in my cat tree and watching birds out the window. Our loft overlooks a park and has a giant window that I like to watch out of. Mom and Dad screened in the patio so I can go out there whenever I like! Mom also has a dog walker come walk Henley and feed me lunch; she's really nice and I like having company. She loves that I run to the door to greet her, too.

I'm hoping Mom will have another party soon; I LOVE to show off for company!!! If guests don't pet me immediately, I head butt them and swat them until they realize they need to slather me with affection; I am definitely not the type to hide under the bed when company comes!

Mom really misses me being at work with her, and carries me around so much when she's home, it drives me crazy! I really do love her though, and even though I wouldn't admit it, I love my dog brother, Henley, too. He's a stinky dog, but he's pretty nice to me most of the time. He's lazier than I am and sometimes I have to force him to chase me; but he needs his exercise, so it's okay. :)

New Toy!!

Since Mom must be feeling guilty about leaving me for the weekend, she ordered me a new toy from the ASPCA webstore. It is called a Fling-a-ma-String and I LOVE IT!!! You hang it on the door and the string rotates around and around and when you catch it it stops, and when you let go it starts going again!

I can't get enough of it- Mom says it is the best $25 she ever spent on a toy. Plus, when you order from ASPCA, the proceeds benefit the organization. Everyone wins!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!

Mom's Going on a Trip

So Mom is going to visit a good friend out of town for the weekend and is leaving me with Dad. I'm glad he will be around to play with me, but I am nervous! I have never EVER spent the night without my Mom! Mom is nervous too, I can tell, because she keeps telling me everything will be okay because she will only be away for two nights.

Mom has not taken a trip without me since I came to live with her when I was three weeks old. I went to the beach, the mountains, and to visit relatives out of state with Mom and Dad. I'm kind of sad that she is leaving me, even though Dad will be home the whole weekend. We always have fun together, but I am usually Mom's velcro attachment.

I think I will be okay, but I worry about Mom. I hope she can make it the whole weekend without me; she's kind of a wuss sometimes. Hey, who can blame her?? I am pretty darn cute!
